Crisis Core foil cover - should I keep it sealed?

Happened by my local Best Buy and it still had a handful of the Limited Edition foiled cover Crisis Core, so I picked one up. As far as I can tell, aside from PSP bundles in Japan and Europe, Best Buy was the only place you could get the silver covers via preorder, but the fact that there were still a few there tends to indicate that no one really cares that much.

Would I be a complete fool to open this up and actually play it, or is it not worth worrying about?

BB said it was Limited Edition, but it was more of a, all & any copies at BB had the foil cover. If you keep it sealed, you will probably only see a very modest increase in its value 5-10 years from now. Not worth it, play, and enjoy.
I say open it and play it. Games are not an investment. Enjoy.
I beg to differ. They might not be a great investment but I've made some good money the last couple years from rare games.

I don't generally treat games as an investment. I just happen to be able to afford to buy a second, used normal copy if this was rarer than I thought it was. There are more kinds of investments than just looking for a flat monetary return. Having a sealed, sought after collector's item might make a future barter arrangement for some hard to find game down the road possible, and I'm a semi-collector as well. If it's gonna be rare, it'd be a nice thing to show off or make a gift of to someone that appreciates it before I kick the bucket.

For what it's worth, I cracked it this morning. Of course, the second I get to the intro movie the phone rings and I have to run out to a customer to fix their computers for 7 hours straight.

Shoulda kept it sealed.

When the FFVII remake comes out it would have gone for some nice $$ due to the hype I'm guessing.
