Just beat Final Fantasy X. Probably the only thing that has made me this emotional in ages.

*attempts to restrain emotion*
*sniff*

And don't rip on me for it. You know you cried too.

Bitches.

i feel u. i dont know bout crying thou, but ff7 was still much sadder for me. ffx had an edge cause the ost and the voiceovers IMO.

fucking greatest game ever made IMO. Love the characters, story, gameplay and graphics. The ending was emotional, but didn't make me cry. Now it's time you play X-2.

I don't like any FF games after VI. And yes FF fanboys, that includes VII! I just can't get into them. There are better RPG's...

I didn't cry, but I must admit I got a little misty eyed.

Rig, any true FF fan would agree with you. FF VII was mediocre at best, and only a deprived soul would say it is better than VI.

I disliked FF X... the ending made me happy, because I could shelf the game.

My favorite Final Fantasy is IX, with VI as a close runner up.

I started with FF IV and I have to say, a lot of people badmouth VII, but it's still a really solid RPG.

I'd consider myself a real FF fan, but I consider anyone who loved the series before VII's announcement to be a real fan.

And so the fanboys are released! You know, Square could make a Final Fantasy game that gives you a blowjob at the end of every random battle, and you'd still complain that it's not as good as VI. I am so sick about hearing how it's the pinnacle of the series and everything else sucks. Was VI an excellent game? Hell yes. Was VII an excellent game? Hell yes. Was X an excellent game? Yes. Square's RPGs have all been fairly high caliber. Maybe some are better than others, but they're all still better than 90% of the other games out there.

Back on topic-
Yeah, FFX had a pretty depressing ending. I think that's why I didn't like it too much. X-2 was awesome, though.

You're just in time to pick up FF X-2 cheap and appreciate all the little details. The first that caught my eye was Yuna's choice of sword in Warrior mode. And how her personality opens up now that she's no longer living under a voluntary death sentence.

X was great...I never beat VIII (yes, 8, not 7), but I loved the sci-fi theme...it's the farthest I've made it in any other RPG, seeing as X was the only one I've beaten as of yet.

Yes, I know, sad.

While I didn't get the urge to cry I thought the ending for X was very well done, the entire game was depressing and the ending was no different.

FF-X is the first and only FF game (haven't tried x-2 yet) That I could not get into. it just never hooked me I quit after about 15 hours.

I don't think FF7 wasn't really excellent in the grand scheme of FFs. It opened the series up to the mainstream, for better or worse, but it's plot was weak to the point of needing an iron lung and the battle system wasn't all that great either. Any game where you have a move that completely unbalances the whole rest of the game isn't very good from a technical standpoint. Frankly, if the game that became FF8 had been released first no one would mention FF7 at all when discussing best of the series.

I loved FFX. And while I don't admit to crying at the end, I do admit to getting quite misty eyed, kind of like when I watch the last episode of Cowboy Bebop.

Lucky for me, while I got FFX on the first day, I didn't actually finish it until FFX-2 had been revealed, so it didn't make me sad so much as just impress me.

final fantasy and final fantasy fan boys are losers....the crying after the game is just the icing on the cake. man you guys are ridiculous

Your score: 34%, F. Have a parent sign this and return it tomorrow.

Got this game at release. Still at the sphere/watersport thing. I don't know why I keep buying RPGs. Just not into them. So how 'bout someone PM me the ending. I don't think I'll ever get to the end of this one.

I cried when Aeris died in VII, because I spent so much fucking time leveling her up (I always set somebody to be my healer in rpgs). I still haven't beat that game, I think I have it saved a little bit before the final battle.

Yeah, it was kinda sad. The game was good, but it to much attention just for being a Final Fantasy game. However the graphics did set the bar for RPGs.

I think the ending in Fatal Fury the Movie was really sad to. It's more dramatic when the girl dies. Poor Terry Bogard.

I liked the story and the ending to FFX, but the tedious gameplay wore me down. I think going in a more action oriented direction like it seems like they're doing with XII is a step in the right direction. RPG combat is too mindless to be strategic, so it's basically just filler between plot. Might as well make it entertaining filler by making it more action oriented.

Wow. Someone sure is an asshole. Why don't you just leave and never post here again? You obviously don't like our community. Why stick around?

i do like what the site has to offer, but some of the people here are totally lame. they are so ridiculous at points, its hard not to comment.

No, I'm sorry; You can come in and crap up a thread with trolling or you can type like a semi-literate mongoloid. You cannot have both. Pick one or the other. You seem equally adept at either, so I suggest flipping a coin.

well you called me an idiot. you got me there.
but i find it interesting that your not disputing that fact that you will die alone with rpgs and anime in hand.

You aren't making yourself any less of an asshole. Oh, well. I think this is going to get good and interesting.

I'm not really in a position to dispute how I'll die. And I didn't call you an idiot. I said your typing skills were sub-par and you're a troll. Both facts are easily proven by your posting history in this thread and the site at large. I agree with a poster on a different thread you got your stupid all over: go back to gamefaqs.

Given his lack of mastery of the shift key I've concluded he hasn't the opposable thumbs to make this good and interesting.

man... i love rpgs, and i can really get into them, but i have never cried at a game before.

in your guys' and gals' opinions, what were top saddest moments in rpg history? if i had to pick a few...

SPOILER SPACE

chrono dying. and maybe when the twins in ffiv turned to stone so that they could save the rest of the crew. those didn't make me cry though... it was more like, "what the, damn... did that really just happen? that really fucking sucks."

I don't mean to dump on your first one, but how the heck did you get emotionally attached to Chrono? He had no dialog or even body language, for the most part. You must be the single most empathic person in the history of earth!

Please stop butchering my thread with your pointless posts.

note to everybody: CHILL

Who cares if someone likes Final Fantasy? Don't post in a thread that isn't interesting to you...

Internet trolls are not real trolls, don't give him any fish, just ignore it.

For some reason, the only FF's I've ever liked are the even numbered ones .. IV, VI, VIII, X .. the others never really did it for me. Anyway, I think the most emotional part of the game is when Tidus discovers what happens when Yuna confronts Sin. I was blubbering like a little baby.

I'm just curious if anyone has seen the best ending for FFX-2 yet. Don't wanna say anything to ruin it for people but I thought it was kinda cool.

i would only change 2 things about the ffx ending.
1. i would have them ALL DIE.
2. i would put the ending at the begining of the game.

9's was awsome.. n so was 7...let not even talk bout 8. and 10..is amazing. whn i found out sin was his father..i was like...whoa. FF stories are awsome. i think ff6 had the best story outta thm all..

But Chrono Trigger kills thm all

This games was amazing. The ending was a PERFECT set-up for a sequel.

What did we get? FF crap X-2! It didn't even continue Tidus' story (well-not REALLY, you know what I'm talking about). The whole reason to play the game was a lie!!

Did you get the 100% ending?

Shit im not as sensitve as some of you guys but i agree it was sad...hell my friend's bro cried in ff7 after Aeris died....well the fact that she died and he took the time to get to her third limit break...

Any FF is good for me.....as long as it plays well i will i finish it...

How is FF 9's ending awsome? The last boss was some stupid made-up, last minute thing, I didn't want to fight this dumb "evil entity" which I've never meet before. I guess the CG part was okay, but nothing great. FF 7 was cool, probably one of the most satisfing endings. It pretty much gave you the last boss fight. I consider the last boss fight a very important part of the ending.

Probably one of the longest last boss fights is Persona 2. He wasn't to hard, if you're prepared, but it defintly felt good when you beat him after 45 minutes of battle.

Fighting Kuja in 9 was awesome though... the final boss was pretty bad, but the ending was decent.

The real magic of Final Fantasy 9 is everything up to the ending.

Yeah, I wanted the last boss to be Kuja. Kinda like Cloud and Sephiroth, they were connected. But I guess beggars can't be choosers.

I have seen the 100% ending. Like I said, it doesn't REALLY continue the Tidus story. He just shows up, and that's it. I wanted the whole story to continue, instead we get some look-a-like and another cheesy romance.
