I found this today at my target in Bakersfield, CA for $49.99. I think that's MSRP so if you deal sticklers want this moved somewhere else no problem. I know this has been hard to find, so I wanted to get the word out.

this deserve to be regional forum since you found it in one location and want to give a word out that it's out there in that location or video game discussion to show how rare the game on ebay.Mario Dance Dance MSRP is-$49.99 no discount there. If this was online that might be different story for considering degree of difficulty find it near chirstmas season, weighing gas cost, etc.

I haven't seen these in ANY store since Sept. or so. If this is another reprint it might be news. If you are just seeing old copies sitting around in a regional fashion it isn't, really.

As for the guy waiting for it to drop to $30, don't count on it - they continually sell these out at $50 and people pay way more than that for it on ebay (haven't looked recently but they were selling for $75 or so a few months ago).

It was definately new stock to my store. The electronics manager said they had just got it in. If the mods want to move this, no problem. It just seems like the fact that these are hard to find in a lot of areas, it is worth mentioning. (sorta like all the wii and ps3 talk)

Well, if there is a new batch of shipments, that is a different story and is deal newsworthy (this is one of those few items, like Wii's and PS3's, that is a CAG type deal even at MSRP).

These were everywhere before Black Friday and at every tru before the buy2get1, atleast in my area. I guess people bought them on BF as gifts. At my local TRU, they had like 9 when I went the first day of the buy2get1, I went back later that week to get it, and they said one guy came in and bought all 9 ddrs and 5 ff xi.

Sears has them (YMMV) but most stores sold out the week befoe Thanksgiving. Pretty rare and goinf for $100+ om Ebay.

Well, in my area they were nowhere to be found for at least a month or two before BF. If they are really selling for $100+ on ebay I doubt they were more easily found anywhere else, except your area of course ;). When I found a few in Sept (and was surprised to see them then) they were barely selling for $60-$70 on ebay. Though at the time I was surprised they were selling for more than $50 as I thought the reprint would have meant plenty were available (certainly it's no one's fault but your own if you didn't get one for yourself when they really were everywhere from April - July or so).

Ok I just ran to TRU and bought the second to last one they had.

But I don't want to open it until I can find out the dance pad is compatible with the nintendo wii. Anyone know?

It SHOULD work, but I can't guarantee it. I suppose I could try mine out to be sure - but I've kept my GC for GC games and don't like plugging stuff into my Wii ;).

IT WORKS! pretty sweet :D except I cant use my SD card as a memory card :/
I've seen these plenty of times and lots of them.
I'm sorry, but these ebay auctions that ended today point to that not being the case most places, anyway:

Incredible, they seem to be getting $130+. That is about $20 or so more than they were getting last year right before Christmas! And about $50-$60 more than they were just getting a few months back. I bought 2 then - one to keep, one to sell. My wife said wait till closer to Christmas, but I didn't listen ;).

I bought two Mario DDRs this week. Got the last ones at my local EB and Sears Essentials. These are definitely becoming rare-to-impossible to find. If you want it, you're best to pick it up while you still can. I strongly doubt there will be a reprint, especially since Nintendo seemed reluctant to do a reprint after the first batch sold out last year.

Also, if you want a second mat, Best Buy has the Madcatz Beat Pad for the Cube for $7.99 each. My local store had several, and I bought three. Gamestop also sells a self-branded pad that works on both Cube and PS2. It's a bit pricey at $20, but if you want a basic pad that works with both systems, it's not a bad option.

What I did is bought two Mario DDR bundles (one at $37 when Fry's had a sale during the release week), kept one game and both mats, and sold the extra (still sealed) game by itself for ~$90, thus making the whole operation approximately free.
this might JUST be worth grabbing and throwing up on ebay
that is one original idea there.

Also available at Sears. I picked one up for $29.99 (store specific clearance -- last one in stock), but some guy who posted above me in the clearance thread said it rang up for $49.99 for him.

YMMV

I just sold one of these on eBay. I picked it up at TRU for $50, put it on eBay and the auction ended yesterday. 27 bids... it sold for $135 + shipping! Yay. :) If you see one, I'd pick it up to flip on eBay for sure.

Saw 4 at my Target....since the value is sky high once again time to grab some and hit the ebay. Love dumb lazy parents.
