Darks souls collectors edition PS3 55.99 shipped at Deep Discount

Highly risky. I'm still waiting on a Wii Fit order that I placed when it was originally released. Expect the standard version and be presently surprised if you get the CE.
 
Anytime Ive ordered anything from deepdiscount it takes 2 weeks for them to e-mail me and say they don't have it in stock.
 
Prepare for disappointment.

Deepdiscount has to be the worst online retailer. Non-existent customer service, slow shipping. Odds are the Dark Souls copies they have will be the regular edition. Even if you do order it and when the game finally shows up and its the regular edition good luck getting any sort of resolution from the mix up. If you call to try and cancel the order after waiting on hold for 30+ minutes they will give you the run around that it is being shipped direct from the distributor to expedite the shipping so it is impossible to cancel.

yup there has been lots of complains and the dvd/blu ray forums, I wouldn't go with deepdiscount
 
Other than slow shipping, all of my DD purchases are positive experience. I will not count on CE game stuff though, for movies, you can expect slipcovers, special editions etc., but don't count on it when come to games.

As others have stated, it's going to take a LONG time for you to get it, and it'll be a hassle to return it. I'm not trolling either but they have to be one of the worst companies to do business with online.
 
The last time I ordered from Deep Discount was at the beginning of October last year for Breaking Bad Season 1 and 2, it took TWO months to receive the items.

To answer Xellos question: They MIGHT pay for the return shipping but even if they do they will drag their feet with the return. Their site says they pay for return shipping if the item is damaged or defective doesn't make any reference too if the item is a different version than what is pictured.

In the old days when they were Deepdiscountdvd I had no problem with CS but shipping was beyond awful and I live in Illinois which made it that much more irritating.
 
DD's listing is the same fiasco as Newegg, the difference is that Newegg caught the error early and DD simply don't care...

Yep, used to be a good site but they've gone far down the crapper.
 
I suggest those of you pre-ordered from DD hold on to the order until it's cleared... See, when Newegg noticed the error, they give people $20 gaming credit. DD might not be generous, but the fault is not with them, so who knows?

I don't think it will come down to "shipping out the regular edition" from DD, their website only list the CE, unless DD is really sloppy of course...

Shoot DD an e-mail regarding "product availability" and inquiry whether or not DS is indeed the CE. If enough questions asked, the actual version of the game will be listed and perhaps save a lot of cancellation headaches (they probably cancel the order themselves, they have done that to me automatically in the past).

Deepdiscount is a hit or miss.

#1)
First thing you ALWAYS have to remember is that shipping can take FOREVER.

Transits can take 4-6 weeks delivery or longer, not kidding here. It may come within 2-3 months sometimes longer, especially during Christmas; you can read some CAG's horror stories on the DVD forum.

I used to order a lot of DVD's and Graphic Novels from them, a few games, and they do tend to "mess up" your order though.

I have ordered books that were supposed to be Hardcovers, but was sent the Softcovers.

I was also sent the Canadian version of Star Fox on the Gamecube back then; I kept it and still have it in it's French glory!

Btw, it sucks that they now charge sales tax where I'm from.
 
they literally ship by mule. No joke. I remember ordering LOZ twilight princess for the gamecube and not receiving it till 3-4 months later, by then they had refunded me my money, so I ended up getting it free.
 
This is the last time I'm ordering from these clowns at DeepDiscount. They still haven't shipped the game. I went ahead and canceled, it better go through. I just bit the bullet and paid more for a new copy off eBay before prices spiral out of control.
 
My goodness now they want let me cancel because they have shipped the game tracking number and all. I guarantee it is not the Collector's Edition.

Yea these guys don't even cancel at all! Tried to cancel a order just 8 hr after I made it they told me they can't cancel because it shipped already ,are u kidding it's not even 24hr and you tell me I can't cancel never heard that 1 b4!!as long as I've known about shopping online I know u can cancel even with next day shipping deep discounts suck I don't think any deals from this site should be posted or considered especially if u can't cancel an order!!!

uh, if Amazon shipped out your order you can't cancel it either. It's hilarious that people are bitching because DD shipped out their order within 8 hours and it was too late to cancel. You would think they would be praised for shipping something so soon but I guess they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't

I doubt it actually shipped. I ordered from Deep Discount and then tried to cancel my order two hours later (around 3 AM) when I found out that they DON'T have the CE, but I received an error because it was "processing". For the next couple of days, every time I tried to cancel, I just got a message saying that the item couldn't be canceled. Went on vacation for a few days and was hoping the game would be waiting for me when I got back, but it of course wasn't. I checked my e-mail to see if it had even been shipped, but I had no confirmation of such and all their web site said was that I had ordered the game at some point. Upon checking PayPal, I saw that I had never even been charged, so I just e-mailed DD directly and asked them cancel my order, which they actually did rather quickly.
 
After 3 weeks since my pre-order back from Sept. 25th, I finally received it, but guess what?

I was sent the REGULAR EDITION.
