Im lookin t o buy a ddr pad... i kno there was a topic that discussed which pad was the best etc. i even read it when it was started......i just cant find it now....if someone could opost a link, or maybe tell me which pad turned out to be the best...thanx in advance

I know a guy who bought the arcade pads and wired them into a PlayStation compatible controller. It cost him 2K for the pads but they work perfectly.

You know those two bundles for Xbox and PS2? Xbox one comes with a pad and Ultramix, then the PS2 a pad w/t Max 2. Are the pads in those bundles any good? Also, should I get Ultramix or Max 2?

Well I got Ultramix and I must say but I heard that Max 2 is a lot better. As for pads, I have the one that came w/ the game and they aren't that great. This past month I purchased the Level Six pad, as suggested above, and it came within a week. I plugged it in and started playing. It plays like 500x better. I actually play this game now instead of keeping it in a corner. The build quality is awesome too. With shipping the Level Six 3.1 pad costed me around $60.

Max2.

Yeah it's from Little Nemo Dream Master on the NES. He falls asleep when you throw candy at him, then makes this cute "Mahh" sound. :)
even metal pads aren't too durable for the 8/9/10 songs unfortunately
Except for the Cobalt Flux. I can play 8 and 9 foot songs on my Cobalt Flux without any problems (not up to 10 foot songs yet).

The Cobalt Flux is the closest you're gonna get to the arcade. Just read any reviews and forums online, and check out the site's videos. I think it's well worth the money, especially if you are really into DDR.

Mine's due for delivery this week!! :D

There are some good pads on eBay, which will be cheaper than the Level Six pads, but just as good quality.

I have the equivalent of the Level Six v3.1 pads and I got 2 of them for $55 shipped off eBay. There's a lot of crap on eBay, you just need to know which ones are good.
