[DEAD] 1 year Nintendo Power Subscription $8.95

Good for me. Legit site, anyone? I used to order... from the other magazine site, I can't remember. It was only 3 or 4 bucks, but 9 bucks for a year of Nintendo Power is something I can roll with too.

Legit deal of the day site (like woot.com) that I have ordered from a few times before without a hitch. They specialize in cheap board games.

I have ordered a few times from them. Never had any probs on my end

I haven't opened a Nintendo Power magazine in probably 10 years. Is it even worth paying for anymore? I have fond memories of the first few years of the magazine, as I was a subscriber back then, including the first issue.

I guess so since EGM went out. I used to get nintendo power just because of the freebie guides, but they look like they did away with that.

Well don't keep us guessing... either you don't pay for yours or have no interest in printed material....

I thought this isn't too bad, amazon had a similar deal but theirs was 10, not 9.

I haven't had NP in like 10 years too.... I think they ramped up the editorial since it's run by Future instead.

Thanks OP!

I wonder what will all my future mags go to... I haven't got a note on where my extra years to defer to... :(

No, not ever since the majority of Nintendo's games don't speak to the enthusiast crowd anymore. Also, the mag is heavily skewed towards a younger crowd.

I tried a free 3-month subscription around a year ago, and I didn't even make it through 1/2 of the first issue.

I'd rather my opinions of Nintendo Power remain rooted in the fond memories of my childhood, not spoiled by the company that Nintendo has become with the Wii.

^ My exact feelings. I think it was when they introduced pokemon, and more specifically, gold and silver, was when they really started to cater towards the younger crowd more.

Now with the Wii, forget about it.

I think you guys have to remember where the demigraphic of Nintendo is at... not the 20+ but the under 20. I'm sure they do have real articles but it's not going to cover all M rated games or only games rated T... they will have to cover stuff that still sells like games for kids.

That's why EGM was a bit better, catered more towards games that adults would have interest in, like RPGs and M rated titles, not Monkey Petz Extreme Flea Edition...

I thought the issue they had in Dec was ok...

Grabbed it--thanks for the coupon code. This mag will be great for my kids, and make decent bathroom reading for me.

Death to EGM, long live EGM.

Or rather they catered to adults with the maturity of children.

:applause:

Well that's a good way to see it.

Love the sig. As a CAG with kids, I'm on this one. Thanks OP.

Are you kidding? They give more coverage to under-the-radar games than any mag, except for Play: Sin & Punishment, Ys, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and they still get exclusives, like when they broke the Mega Man 9 story.

Shit, the last issue was entirely about RPGs. I don't know how much more enthusiast you can get than that.

Agreed. It is by far my favorite gaming magazine as of late.

It's nice to get a gaming magazine that doesn't have a generic brooding soldier with a gun on the cover EVERY SINGLE MONTH.
