(DEAD) Deadwood bluray/dvd sale

Hmm .. really tempting but considering the series doesn't have an ending, I'm really on the fence about picking up the bluray. It would be one thing if they had anything wrapping up the plot, but in some ways it's almost worse to have an incredible show that suddenly ends than it is to have a mediocre show that is on too long.

The saving grace with Rome was that they ended everything, though it was extremely rushed. I loved Rome and have heard great things about Deadwood but I don't want to invest in a show and characters that just suddenly disappear ... might sound crazy but I'm on the fence.
 
I picked it up last week at BN with B2G1 Deal. End up get Deadwood, Rome Complete Series and The Pacific (Free) under $140 ;)

Although deadwood didn't get a full series to give a proper and complete ending it ended fine, it ended on a better note then most shows that run 6-10 seasons with proper endings.

you would be a fool to not watch the show simply because it only got 3 seasons, you would only be cheating yourself out of the greatest tv shows of all time, the creator new the show was ending, it doesn't end on a cliff hanger besides on the complete series there is a feature where the creator talks about the ending to further help explain
 
It's still worth watching once even though there isn't an ending. It might not be worth $90 buying it to only watch it once. You could probably borrow the dvds for free at your local library.

I've seen every episode at least 3 or 4 times. I'd buy the blu ray set right now if there was more of a conclusion. There's not really any reason for me to invest more time in this show watching things I've seen when there's no future payoff.
 
Over with now. I think the Blu is going for $12X.XX now or something. I IM'd a buddy overseas yesterday asking if it was good and this morning I get into work and see the response 'Yes, buy it now.' And the deal is dead.
