(DEAD-READ) Donkey Konga (GC) $27 preorder after coupon at MediaPlay.com

I wonder if it's for the drums only since the MSRP on the drums is $29.99.

I would pre-order if there was a screen shot of the game box to confirm it's the game (since the drums are included with the game) or a description but I don't want to take a chance on just getting the drums.

It's $30 for a set of drums? I know for sure it's been set to $50 for the game with drums.

I just preordered. The item lists as "Donkey Kong: Bongos / Game," which I hope means that it includes both the bongos and the game. If so, it is clearly a price error. I just hope they honor it.

Oh, yeah $30 is a little high considering the game and drums will sell for $50 but for a music game controller. For me though I don't think $30 is too bad for what it is though considering other music game controllers like the Konami Guitar Freaks controller goes for $100 used, Pop N Music controllers are $60-$70, Beatmania IIDX controllers are $100+ . I have a huge collection of these type of games so even $80 for the game and 2 drums seems like a bargain.

edit- I just added it to my cart and since you mentioned it does say bongos/game, I decided to pre-order it. The price came out to $32.26 for me with shipping

i pre-ordered it. Seems like it HAS to be the game because the accessory isn't even listed when you type in Donkey Konga on the search function. Thanks for the heads up....hopefully evertying works out.

Best Buy has the game listed WITH the Bongos for $49.99

Donkey Konga lets you go along with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they drum and clap their way through old and new songs. The action is controlled by the included special controller that lets players drum and clap to the rhythms of the game. Earn coins for good drumming and use the coins to add new sounds and surprises to the fun.

So, the estarland.com deal for $45 was not a deal at all, but this one is as long as you get the bongos. I ordered it, we will see.
The game is listed as out of stock now, but you have the option of selecting back-order.
All pre-orders show as out of stock on the first step I believe.

Zoltek, VGTalker?

The fact that it says "Bongos / Game" in the order summary is good enough for me, and pretty hard for them to say otherwise.

Hmmmm....will have to consider this...damn so many pre-orders so little money...Does anyone know when the release date and ship date iis? And do they charge your card BEFORE they ship it?

Well, my order summary says they will charge when they ship. Had to jump on this for under $30 shipped.

I ordered 4 of them, since even if it's JUST the bongos, everywhere else sells them for $35, so it's already cheaper than the bongos alone. Plus, with that coupon code and ordering 4 of them, it comes out to $114 ($12 off=free shipping and $6 off).

And Nintendo gets more sales, which will hopefully push for a sequel released in the US.

I wish Sonic Team released Samba de Amigo for GameCube.

When you place the item in your cart it states

Donkey Konga Bongos/Game $29.99 PreOrd

Then you can use the coupon code 10off25

Total with US domestic shipping was $29.96

That is a fantastic Deal. Mad props to the OP.

I could not pass up on this deal. Thanks :D

want to order it but something tells me not to

i really doubt they can sell the bongos and the game for 29.99

Just got the new Nintendo Power and it has a preview of the game and says that it comes with the Bongos.

It also says the release date is Sept 27.

So, if you are getting the game, you are getting the Bongos.

Great find OP!

Dammit, couldn't resist it. At least its a month away from release so I have some time to catch up on other games.
Worse comes to worse I can easily sell this to recoup my cost if I change my mind by then.

That's under style
Style: Musical Instrument/Band Sim

Other examples
Parappa the Rapper
Style: Singing/Voice Sim
DDR
Style: Dancing Sim
Zelda 4 swords
Style: Overhead View Action
It says "musical instrument/band sim". I think this is just the drums.
Click the preorder button, check your cart, and the item's listed as "Donkey Kong: Bongos / Game".

Sounds like the game + drums to me...

if this is just the bongos what are you guys going to do? they will ship it out and charge your card..and then if you want to return it, i believe YOU have to pay the shipping fees

It's still cheaper than what EB and GameStop are selling them for.

Their returns policy states that if the return is a result of their mistake then they will send you free return postage, so it's a pretty safe bet. I just preordered as well. Somehow I doubt that this would be just the drums since from my searching the site I didn't find a single other peripheral of any kind for any console, looks to just be the consoles and thier games that they sell so them selling the solo drums seems pretty unlikely.

I ordered one. I don't really see how they can NOT include the game with this, since it clearly says bongos/game. Returning this should not be a problem, as we could easily claim this is false advertising.
For all you guys that are ordering one today, does it still show up as being back-ordered for you?
I think, according to the site, any item pre-ordered is considered backordered
