Hoping I can still get this for $20 which seems to be the price drop. My Target and Circuit City don't have it though.

Any online retailers that carry it for $20 with free shipping? Or any other B&M stores?

Thanks everyone.

Every major retail site should have it at 19.99 right now. I don't know about shipping, but if you can get it on gamestop.com then use the code FREESHIPALL for free shipping.

Ah alright thank you. Ordered from Gamestop.

Unfortunatly for game store selection its pretty much ebgames, CC, and Target in my town and with gas prices its not really worth driving 30 mins to the next city.

I bought Star Ocean 3 @ ebgames B&M store for 17.99 before edge card and taxes. I hate taxes. I think that is a pretty good deals. I bought it yesterday.
I hated this game. I thought the story was too sparse, and tedious.

All Star Ocean games follow the same story more or less.

You mean...

The infallible cult of Gods attempting to destroy humanity?
All Star Ocean games follow the same story more or less.
Really? I played the PS1 version of Star Ocean, and thought I'd be blown away. Every forum I visited, I'd hear people saying what a "great classic game" it was.

I tried to like it, but after 25 hours I just quit. I was not the least bit interested. It was even more boring than FF7.

If FF7 & Star Ocean don't get your boat moving... maybe RPG's just ain't for you...

Both those 2 games were both great IMO. Which by mean, when they were release at that time... It was 1 of the best games out...
Thats why people say " Classic " you just gotta put yourself back in that timeline and enjoy it for what it is...

Star Ocean is on my list for top 10 Greatest RPG of all time...

Final Fantasy 10 (my first)
FF9 (my second... I like the humor)
FF10-2 and FF5 (weak story, but fun battle engine)
FF6 (best story/best characters/best design period)
Skies of Arcadia
Grandia 2
Mario RPG
Pirates (the original)

Can you draw a conclusion from that? I don't like FF7 or Star Ocean 2 or Paper Mario 1 (big yawners), but I like all those other RPGs.

Why?

I know that I, and many people I talked to, didn't like Star Ocean 2 because of the horrible translation, the horrible voice acting, and the general boringness of the plot.

I can see how some people could like SO 2, but those three problems are game breakers for me. Star Ocean 3 nailed those three things, in addition to doing everything else great, and I really enjoyed that.

You got 25 hours into SO 2... I only got 6 in and had to call it quits, it was very mind numbing.
