Just wondering if there are any good deals for the DVD sets for battlestar galactica out there? They all seem to be around $40 for each set...

Sign up for a Sci-Fi Channel Credit Card, make one purchase and pay it off and they will send you season 1 for free. I can't seem to find the original email I had on it but I did a quick google and came up with this LINK
Can't really vouch for the link since I googled it. But it might be worth a try. You could also look for an issue of Sci-Fi magazine to confirm it. They usually have an ad for it in there.

Not cheaper than the other options provided, but if you don't want to use Google checkout or get a credit card, it's not bad.

Not sure... they really don't say. It just seems to be if you make a purchase with the card and then pay it off. I'd say start low and see what happens.
Post back with any other info you get from them on the topic. I plan on trying it soon.

The link is valid, it comes directly from scifi.com/battlestar.
I charged about 9 dollars, payed it off, and got my set in about 3 weeks. It is actually a pretty sweet looking card. This was back when they first started it last year, before season 3 started.
