Deep Discount DVD 20% off sale?

Trust me, if someone here knew definitively, you'd hear about it. This question has been asked ad nauseam over the last few months, but no word on a date. Just have patience, you'll know about it when the time comes.

Maybe you though his post was arrogant because you are a dick? Just my 2 cents. Seriously, if someone knew, it would be posted. All you can do now is add everything to your wish list so when the sale hits you can checkout fast because their site gets so slow. The sale should hit in the next 2-3 months.

Woah, take it easy. I wasn't trying to "school" you or act like a mod or anything like that. I answered your question (by saying that I didn't know of a date for the sale), gave you some facts that I thought were going to come up sooner or later (that the question had been asked several times before), and gave some advice (to wait until info became available). I'm sorry you took offense (none was intended), but I believe that my response was fair and valid. If you disagree with my response, fine, but let's not be unnecessarily hostile here, okay?

Looking at what was posted while I was typing up my last response, it appears that reasonableness won't have any effect here. I will therefore comment that I do believe this is in the wrong forum, and I will bid adieu to posting in this thread.

But when someone asks a question and you tell them the question has been asked "Ad nauseaum" it just makes it seem like it isn't a valid question and it makes you sick. Thats the part that pisssed me off. Not the rest. Anyway Zman piece unto you.
 
The question has really been asked ad nauseum though. DDD seems to have the 20% off sale twice a year. I would expect it to come sometime this summer, and when it does trust me you will hear about it here one way or another. Keep checking the DVD deal forum b/c I'm sure someone will post it as soon as it comes.

You don't really deserve a descriptive answer, but I'm going to provide one anyhow:

If Deep Discount DVD decides to follow a pattern with its new discount, you might expect the first sale to start somewhere around June to boost stagnant sales, and the second sale to start around November for the holiday profits.

First Sale: June 18th - 25th, 2004.
Last Sale: November 13th - 20th, 2004.
 
I don't know what I like more, the fact that DDF wants to ban him, or the fact that this guy is calling everyone posting in the thread newbies, yet he clearly posted this in the wrong forum. :lol:

First off I am glad this happened because it brought out all the real "girls" on this board.

Second me and Zman already PM'ed back and forth and worked it out so all you who are jumping on the bandwagon to get into something that didn't concern you from the beginning can just do something else. This was between us and we have posted less about it than anyone else.

Third my point was this, I just would have understood the "ad nasauem "more if like someone else had asked the same thing on the same page or maybe the page before and I didn't see it, I definitely would've been like "dude my fault".

When I see a thread with a question that I know for a fact has been asked before I just don't even bother responding to it. I have been on since 03 and I only post here and there but I READ alot of posts and it just seems like people on here (NOT TO SAY ZMAN IN PARTICULAR!) are becoming less and less patient and less friendly are more arrogant.

Like when someone posts something twice by accident, or someone asks what a certain abbreviation might mean or someone posts something in the wrong forum it seems like there is ALWAYS someone waiting to pounce to make that person feel dumb and this board WAS NOT like that in the beginning or at least in 03' when I joined.

Maybe I kinda took that out on ZMAN and I have already squashed that with him.

But I know for a FACT that alot of people are posting less and less and voicing less opinions about certain things because they feel there is a "majority" that will attack them or that they will face some sort of "retribution" if something they say or think is not like by some. fuck THAT. I don't care how many agree or don't with something I might think or say, I will say it.

This board started with cool people looking out for each in lots of different ways not just video game deals, I have made tons of cool friends here but alot of people are starting to get a "Holier than thou" attitude and it is NOT cool. NOT MEANING ZMAN! I am just stating my point. I'm done.

People got on your case because you randomly pounced on someone that gave you a perfectly reasonable answer. Most people would have given you the same answer. You can act like it was between you and zman, but everything you posted was public and subject to judgement from other people.
