I hear this is a cheap ass site. I have never order from them (of course) and before I do I was wondering if some of you guys could share your experiences with this site, good or bad, so I can decide if I should order from there or not.

Aside from the fact that they don't clearly state on an itme's description that it is backordered, not too bad, and I'll be getting my nice Beverly Hills Cop DVD Box set for $20 once they get it back in stock ont the 28th.
 
I ordered my 7 boxsets on Friday moring at 1 am and it was shipped out that day and arrived on Tuesday. I chose the second day air option. It was my first order but a great experience. I plan on ordering again tonight. Only problem I had was that my Dilbert #4 disk was scratched and had finger prints on it but it was sealed so it wasn't their fault.
 
Very positive, except shipping takes an average of a week. Of course I get the free shipping, so I can't complain.
 
they overall are good it took the me2 days to ship out my reno911 dvd I order tues moring I jst got a email today confriming shipment today. overall with past experinces the are very good.
 
I've made a couple of orders now. Just one problem so far. When they had the last 20% off sale in the Winter, they added extra items into my order which I did not know about. Their reply was that their "system" was having troubles from the huge amount of traffic due to the sale. That was quickly resolved as they sent me a pre-paid mailing label to return the extra DVDs.

My latest order from the "fluke" 20% sale came in a week with the discount applied. No problems there.
 
bought something from them and got it 3 business days later :)

but then I ordered something again as a gift and was having them ship it directly and now it says its back ordered and wont ship till July 2nd or something :(

Dude, you returned those? Maybe if you were charged for them I could understand. Anyway, during christmas they not very reliable. I ordered a ton of boxed sets in early november and didn't get some of them in time for christmas even though they said I definitly would and multiple people there had told me my items had shipped when they really hadn't, so they're not above lying. They made up for it by giving me a free homicide boxset :wink: I think it was a way of them saying they were sorry.

I dunno if this is the normal but they havent even shipped my Dick Tracy DVD maybe its backordered or something, kinda odd, I dont even think they charged my credit card yet.

I've been going to DeepdiscountDVD for a couple years now, never really had any problems. Couple bumps here and there (backorders and slowish shipping- about a week to recieve, but hey, it's free) But nothing that would make me complain. 20% off sale is owning me right now..I've spent over $300 so far on this sale alone..Going over 500 tonight :shock:
 
It is great. Great selection, great prices, free shipping. Yes some stuff gets backordered, but what can you do. If thats a big concern then go pay more at best buy or suncoast. My only complaint is I missed the cheap 11$ Chappelles show price.

They don't charge you until your item ships. And they're probably laughing at you for ordering Dick Tracy.

on topic: I order nearly all my DVDs from DeepDiscount (especially box sets)...stuff sometimes takes a day or 2 before it's mailed out but once it does it takes exactly 7 days to get to me...I'm willing to wait for free shipping...

just be aware of the DVDs that'll be in high demand for Christmas gifts as those may have to be ordered months in advance...I ordered the Scarface Deluxe Boxed set last year I think 2 months before Christmas and got it about 2 weeks before the 25th...
