black Friday usually has really really cheap laptops ( last year walmart or best buy had a $300 laptop)

dell deals usually stay the same; you might see a 40% off coupon, but that's as good as it gets. If you need a lappy now, get one now. Also, Dell's laptops are quite a bit better than store-bought laptops when it comes to performance, and sometimes even price.

do not buy $500 laptops on black friday because they usually really suck with 1.5 hr battery life or less, usually 256mb ram, and not a good brand most of the time. This was true for last years black friday they might improve this year. Dell always has deals going on for laptops and its best to get it from them if you want a inexpensive one but of decent quality.
Also the dell laptops they sell at walmart are crappier versions of the ones on teh site. The specs are the same but teh parts come from cheap unknown Chinese producers.
