Diablo 3 $49.99+FS | Dragon's Dogma $47.99+FS Newegg 48hr sale

I would get Diablo 2 but I'm guessing its a 2 days shipping.. which is normally fine but not for online pc games. I definitely want to play it as soon as the server allows me to.
 
Should also let everyone know that Risen 2 is $47.99 as well. I'm so tempted to get Risen..

As said, I'd add Risen 2 to the title, along with the Game of Thrones RPG, which might turn out to be decent from what I've seen, with some bunch of people looking forwards to it.
 
Last time I preordered a game from Newegg, I got it on release date with their free 3-day shipping. Mostly because it shipped from their warehouse that's relatively close to me, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
 
Eh I can wait for shipping. Unless a better up front deal comes up. $10 > playing right away. There's plenty to keep me occupied.

Last time I preordered a game from Newegg they delayed shipment for a few days, then outright cancelled it (and I am far from alone). It is a decent deal, but I'd rather not roll the dice on getting Diablo 3 late (or at all), I am very much looking forward to it as is my wife. I actually like Newegg a good bit for parts and other things, but have sworn off preordering new releases from Newegg for their teaser deals because they have a habit of falling through (sometimes you do get lucky) and then you have to look around for another deal and miss out on any preorder bonuses other retailers are offering. Maybe I'm being too demanding, but when I preorder a game I expect that to mean something.
 
Hmm, too bad I've already purchased my copy from Blizzard, but I did lock in a pre-order for Dragon's Dogma. There's supposed to be a demo going up for Dragon's Dogma next Tuesday if anyone is interested in trying it out.

I really want to put in a pre-order for Risen 2 and Game of Thrones too, but I'm pretty much out of extra money now :(

I tried to use the preorder discount code for D3 on Newegg, and when I was at the final step of completing my order, it told me: "The promo code has been closed and is no longer active."
I guess I'll be going with Gamestop or Amazon after all. That is weird, the codes are not set to expire until the 18th I thought, according to the subscriber newsletter.

I just used the code for the PS3 version with no problem.

It's not about used vs new, it's about supporting a company that only robs you of what you paid for.

It's $49.49 with the 10% off if you are PUR member, but I get what you are saying. why feed capcom.
 
Thanks for the leg work with Amazon. As for D3 on consoles, it has always sounded like Blizzard was exploring the possibility while cautioning folks not to expect it to be the same game as Deeblo III for PC/Mac.

I know. However, it's currently only available as a preorder for PC, and that's all I was referring to... plus the fact that the coupon code for this particular preorder was no longer working.

I anticipate another long thread about NewEgg cancelling preorders. At least they did you a favor and didn't string you along until a week after the release, then suddenly cancelling because they don't want to honor their preorder price after they ran out of their initial allotment and didn't stop preorders. They have done it with at least 5 different big games in the past several months (notably Kingdoms of Amalur, Soul Calibur 5, Uncharted 3 and Dark Souls), and the Diablo release is going to make those look like small potatoes. They made good with some that pushed their point with credit, and of course a good many that ordered early enough got it on release day. I wouldn't take that chance with Diablo 3, $10 isn't worth the headache my wife would give me for not having it on release :D

Now I do like NewEgg and have ordered parts and stuff from them many times and would again, but their preorder process on games sucks.
 
Lately, the fine print on Newegg offers has been punctuated with 'Expires X/XX/XX OR UNTIL FUNDS FOR THE PROMO RUN OUT'.

My guess is the D3 deal was......very hot.

Edit: I just realized I still have the CE pre-ordered on Amazon. Decisions, decisions...
