differences between 60gb model and elite?

I'm finally going to buy a 360 today, but I want to hear this from someone who actually has one:

What exactly does the elite come with that the 60 gb model does not?

I know the 60gb doesn't come with an HDMI cable and it's got a smaller harddrive (obviously) but is there any other difference?

Also, if the lack of HDMI is the only major difference, am I able to just buy a regular HDMI cable for my Xbox or do I HAVE to buy the 50 dollar Xbox 360 one?

I'm just not sure if I should spend the extra hundred or not. I don't need the bigger hard drive, I mainly just want HDMI. But if there are some other worthwhile things packed into the Elite I can justify the extra hundred.

Thanks for any help guys

If you're mainly concerned about HDMI, any cable should work. I use one that I purchased from monoprice on my 360 and it works fine.

The special HDMI cable that comes with the Elite is just for having audio with optical or analog instead of HDMI. It's simply an audio cable that can plugs into the 360's AV port with an HDMI cable simultaneously plugged in. If you will be using audio through HDMI than you won't need it.
