Disc Cleaning Methods?

Well, my CoD4 for 360 is extremely scratched from having my 360 standing vertically. It freezes (about once every hour or so) and it's extremely annoying.

Anyone know any secrets to cleaning the disc. Tried the toothpaste trick, but that sorta made the disc worse in my opinion.

some toothpastes make it worse. iirc, it's whitening and some others. for regular cleanin', you would rub w/ a clean cloth counter-clockwise from inside to out of the disc. however, for deep scratches, like the one's the 360 makes, it's really difficult to buff those out, if at all. your best bet is the disc resurfacer's gamecrazy has, but other than that, you might be s.o.l.

If you use toothpaste, make sure it's SMOOTH. Any of the granules in it are just going to scratch up your disc even worse. Best bet is to bring it into a Gamestop and have them resurface it, hopefully you've got someone that likes you at one, they tend to want to charge for it sometimes.
