It's not so much bad as it is generic. When you look at him surrounded by all the other characters, it's hard to imagine that he's the main character.

Disgaea 3 was still really good, but NIS didn't have much development time to improve graphics.

I'm really excited for Disgaea 4. The look is great and all the games are fun.
 
I tried picking up Disgaea 3 from my save somewhere in the game after ending (you know where you reborn, level up to 999 or something) and I am so confused. I can't wait for Disgaea 4 so I can have a fresh start.
