Disgaea = NOWHERE!
Is the guide any good? i like guides that actually provide useful info about a game, not just how to beat it fast and where all the secrets are.
download the free pdf version and see for yourself.

Double Jump guides are pretty awesome. Their SMT: Nocturne guide was almost 400 pages, very detailed.
I got my Disgaea for $39 new on eBay a couple months after the reprint last year; for a while they were going for $35 at overstock.
Anybody who got theirs for $5 at the CC sale is a punk.
I'm a huge SRPG fan, but I didn't see what's so special about Disgaea. It's pretty good, but I enjoyed La Pucelle more.
Speaking of Nippon Ichi projects, I'm now looking forward to Aletier Iris: Eternal Mana, which I think should be out soon.
aye aletier iris looks interesting, also dont forget phantom kingdom
FYI the strategy guide, if anyone is interested, is very hard to find. Only a few on Ebay, and they go slightly above list, and the ones on Amazon selling used are at ridiculous prices.

However, you CAN still get them from the doublejump books website (the publisher) for list price plus about $4 shipping. I ordered mine this past Sunday, got it Wednesday.

Double Jump Books
I got mine from their website too. It comes very well packaged, and you know it hasn't gone through the hands of some EB or GS employee, so it's in great shape.
you can also download the pdf version of the guide for free :)
Yeah, I meant to mention this, but then my daughter woke up and demanded a feeding, so I hit submit and forgot about it.

The free pdf actually sold the book to me - it's nice having the actual book right there next to you, and printing it out likely would have cost more in ink!

As another poster said, the DJB guides are all quite well done. I don't normally get guides, but the three they have are all worth it. The SMT:Nocturne one is down to $9.99 at EB and the Phantom Brave is only $5 there. Tasty deals.
You can buy the flippin book from

http://doublejumpbooks.com

$19.99 + Shipping

This guide is a normal sized guide, not like the Noctourne guide.

This is how I got it.

Didn't I say the same thing a few posts ago?

Settle down, I did not read the whole thread.

As if I have time to read 3 pages about Disgaea being out of stock everywhere. I skimmed it over quickly and just so happened to not see your post. Sue me!

Some people are so sensitive.
i went to gamecrazy and they had it with out the book for 35.99. is it worth it?
Check the Atlus site. I believe they have the manual, and all their manuals are $3.
is the guide worth the $24? also is it only 93 pages like the pdf version?
Yes its under 100 pages.
24 for something under 100 pages, that's a tough choice
Think about how much books cost in general. Then consider that this book uses very high quality glossy paper, with loads or artwork in color, and is very useful.

My Discrete book was $113+

No color, hardly any pictures. Just a few tables and thin paper that easily rips.

for a LONG time it was 35 new at outpost.com
oos now and likely never to come back but should ring up at that price at B and M frys.
is this game worth driving 30 miles and 50 bucks for SEALED
That's what I did when it came out, and I don't regret it :)

I started eating the bar at Rooney's Irish Pub last night, but it took a huge bite out of my wallet.....
