Does DS software every have any hot deals?

Yeah, but those aren't.. DS specific deals. The TRU deal was for all games (except GBA I think) and the BB coupon was for any title over $30.
The OP seems to be asking for price drops and as far as I see, first party games usually don't. SM64DS is still full price in most places. The crappy titles (Ridge Racer DS, Asphalt, etc.) get price cuts though.
You best bet is to wait for deals like the ones Fire posted. There's an upcoming sale at EB: Buy 2 used games, get 1 free (or equal or lesser value).

No, the Princess Peach deal was exclusive to the DS. The other buy 2 get 1 free excluded DS games. This one being referred to only included a few games with Peach being one of the more desirable. I think Trace Memory was one of the other games in that sale.

Yaeh, there was that one TRU deal that Fire mentioned as well as a big clearance among all of the KB Toys on all games which included DS games (like Meteos, etc.). Check the Amazon thread going on currently. I think that Meteos is going for $22.50 at TRU with another DS game on sale.

TRU had the B2G1F deal on specific DS games a little bit after Princess Peach and Pokemon Trozei came out. Lemme see if I can find the thread.
