Impending surprise attack ? Not with armed Israelis on board. Why do the Israelis have to show us time and time again what it means to have balls? No sniper shooting after the capture, no sending in the army-navy-airforce-marines, no warships or rescue efforts, just military trained Jewish security force aboard a cruise ship to thwart a pirate invasion.

Hopefully this sends those pirate bastards a message that the arab world still refuses to accept: You mess with the sons of Abraham, you're gonna get shot in the ass.

So what's your point? The problem has been that vessels weren't allowed to carry their own private security force into certain arab ports and response time on the open seas is fairly delayed.

Good gravy. At least get the biblical stuff right: Muslims and Jews (and Christians by proxy) are all "sons of Abraham." Abraham's son Isaac is the father of the Hebrew people, and his other son, Ishmael, is the father of those Arabs you mention.
 
You're right, I shouldn't have said arabs. I should have said muslims. Sons of Abraham just has a nice ring to it instead of saying Jew repeatedly. Perhaps 'Hebrews' would have been a better denomination too.
