DS Lite Bag Help

psincubus

CAGiversary!
Hey guys, I am looking to get a DS Lite bag, and I found some good ones on lik-sang.com.

Has anyone gotten these:

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=276&products_id=9080&

Any feedback for those two? If anyone has pictures that would be great.

I need some help deciding which to get, the compact, or the multi. I'd like to get it as soon as possible, does anyone know of another site that has these, and that ships from America?

Also, is there an official bag in the US that is any good?

Thanks!

My friend and I, ordered both of these about a week and 1/2 ago from them. I'll let you know which one is better once they come in the mail, unless someone else can tell you otherwise.

I got the compact pouch mainly because I wanted to be able to play my DSL while it was in a protector.

Well, that was the wrong reason to get it... you can't play any game that requires the use of the shoulder buttons while it's in the pouch. Other than that, it's a pretty good pouch. Very small though there's enough room of the Lite, charger, and a couple of games (2 pockets, each one able to hold either 1 GBA game or 3 DS games).

Thanks guys. I went with the Black DS "Multi Pouch" at Play-Asia. The pics from the Hori website were great.

Thanks for the help!!

Beautiful. I picked that one up in black.

I have a similar one for the first DS from Hori, and it's seriously great.

Hori is the best company. They make custon PS2 memory cards for different games, a long with some high quality accessories (the gamecube "old school" controller comes to mind). I wish they had a division in america.
that doesnt look pocket friendly at all, any got any good recommendations for pocket friendly cases or sleeves?
I'm hoping the compact pouch version is pocket friendly because that was the main reason I picked it over the multi version. I didn't want to carry something around that was bulky.

word, let me know how it is when you get it

The DS Lite is already too big to be pocket friendly. The only true pocket friendly portables that are for sale in my opinion are GBA SP and GBA micro.

Is the pouch too rigid to allow you to fully press the buttons? Seems like it's squishy to allow that sort of thing...

In any case, I'm fanatical about cases for my systems (like you wouldn't believe), so I'll be watching this topic with growing interest.
I got this one: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-b6-49-en-70-1by3.html

I think it is the same one in the first link. Best portable game/system holder I have ever purchased. Highly recommended.

Japan gets all the good stuff.
How many games can that particular holder hold? I like the older pouch I got for my old DS, but it is a tad bulky and not that great looking. It held about 6 games and them some. I might look into getting this, if it can hold about the same amount of games.
Thanks for the info.

I'll take some pics like I did last time. This case is much better then the Gamestop case and especially the Princess Peach case (equivalent of the Mario given out at Circuit City, but for the obese DS).

No, it's not rigid anywhere except for the top and bottom. And you've got the idea, it is too squishy to be able to press the buttons. From the pics it looked as if it was possible since they show someone playing the system while it was still in the pouch.

Also, I was too generous with my figures about the case before. It DOES NOT fit the charger, the large pocket is for a GBA game. The two smaller pockets can fit 3 each DS carts but it's way too tight. They can hold 2 each just fine though.

i dunno I got extra big pockets, I could have my original DS in my pockets of my pants before, so i think you got some tiny pockets or soemthing

I could fit it in my pocket, but it would be tight and uncomfortable against my leg. It would look awkward.

The neoprene sleeve for the PSP is a perfect fit for the DSL. I was always leery of carrying my PSP in it, as it doesn't seem like enough protection. But the DSL feels like a typical Nintendo solidly-constructed handheld and the sleeve holds it very firmly. I think GS sells them for around $3-$4. I've actually switched to a leather sleeve that originally came with my first MD player. It leaves about 1/2" exposed, but I was just looking for something to protect it from my keys.

Here's what I use for mine:

It's an eye-catcher!

And now way around it, case or no case, you look like you have a boner popping out the side of your thigh.

my multi-pouch just came today, and i gotta say, it's pretty sweet
not bulky at all, fit the DSL and in the back you can get the charger with quite a handful of games, and i like how it has that special place for the extra stylus as well. Great buy, def. gettin one more for my cous's BD
o and for those who wanted to carry it in your pocket, noway with DSL
multi-pouch has the clipper though so you can clip to your pants, not the best thing to do but best solution so far
and if you want to carry it by hands there's the handle in the back (i'm not sure how you work it but it should be functional since everything else has been)

Nice. As long as it fits the charger. Mine should be here this week!:applause:

Well I just found out that Play-Asia's chances on getting more of the white grey Hori compact pouch was low. I didn't want to play the waiting game so I asked them to cancel the order. I think I'm gonna pick up the multi pouch now based the opinions in this thread, but now I gotta decide on a color.
