Dumbass gets owned by Hannity and Colmes

You mean THIS Sean Hannity:

Sean Hannity
Whether you know him as Derek Smalls or Principal Seymour Skinner, Harry Shearer is a hero - and he proved it again last week by exposing loudmouth Fox News hack Sean Hannity. On his radio show, Shearer played an off-air Hannity & Colmes audiotape from the midst of the Terri Schiavo case, where Hannity can be heard giving two of Schiavo's former nurses some helpful tips on how to answer Alan Colmes' questions...

Hannity: Just say, "I'm here to tell what I saw" ... No matter what the question, "I'm here to tell you what I saw. I'm here to tell you what I saw." ... Say, "I'm not going to be distracted by silliness." How's that? Does that help you? Look into that camera. Look at me when I'm talking.

Later, on air...

Nurse Iyer: I don't have any opinions or judgments. I was there.

After the segment, off-air...

Hannity: We got the points out. It's hard, this isn't easy. But you did great, both of you. Thank you, guys. Those nurses are powerful, aren't they?

Good Lord, Fox News is shit.

7. Sean Hannity
Of course, it's always us liberals who are uncivil and mean - the radical right are consistently polite (pay no attention to the death threats). Take Sean Hannity, for example, who, while sitting in front of a crowd of protesters down in Florida last week, interviewed Congressman Jim Moran via satellite. The News Hounds reported that "Hannity was so intent on controlling his message, that he cut off Alan [Colmes] at the start of the show and took his turn for himself interviewing Terri Schiavo's parents, Robert and Mary Schindler ... Pat Robertson joined Hannity's chorus claiming, 'this judge is brutal. We have to do something with this out of control judiciary.'" (Hey, there are those GOP talking points again!) According to News Hounds, "Moran tried to explain that he cared about the thousands of people who have been abandoned because of Medicare cuts." Of course, Hannity wasn't having any of that - but it was his off-mic comments which were the most interesting. Not knowing he was being recorded, Hannity called Moran an "asshole" and said, "I hate these people." So much for his constant complaints about the lack of civility coming from the left. Check out his mumbling rant here (courtesy of Oliver Willis).

Uhhh yeah ... I guess so. But what does that have anything to do with the topic?

THough I can't watch the film at work, I doubt that anyone could seriously be pwned by Hannity. Hench why I expressed my skepticism.
It's a good film, too bad that guy was mudered.

Not dead, although America would be better with him dead.

Well, I suppose the cat's out of the bag, so....I'm not dead.

To those that sent heartfelt messages, and felt that this was a true story, I truly apologize. This situation quickly got out of hand, when national media outlets called looking for clarification.

Linkie no workie.

Of course Hannity can, ahem, 'pwn' people from time to time. It's part of the structure of his program (both radio and television). If Hannity could not 'pwn' people, he'd clearly be made to look like the partisan fool that he is. Since that's not really happened (to an egregiously embarrassing extent yet), I'd say that he's probably safe for awhile. If Limbaugh can bounce back from being a junkie, and O'Reilly from a sex scandal, Hannity's invincible.

OT, what is the context of this Michael Crook guy? I'm getting the vibe that he's some internet troll/prankster type, but I have no idea what he's all about. Since the video isn't working, care to clarify?

I'm not talking about Alan Colmes, but Michael Crook. Who is he? What does he stand for? Why is he a guest?

Crook has a website that bashes the troops and calls them stupid. In the interview he was bitching about how they get paid too much or something and was blaming the soldiers and celebrating on his site when one died. Then Hannity says 'I'm not going to argue with you because you're obviously a moron, but I just want to tell you that they're dying for you're right to be so stupid."

Oh. So now trolls get airtime (other than the hosts, I mean)?

Yea, pretty much.

It is a standard conservative media MO... Put on a liberal nutjob that is far outside the mainstream, shut him down and cheer.

1.) It makes the conservatives look "smart"
2.) It furthers the liberals=wackos equation
3.) It allows them to claim they hear both sides
...Michael Crook. Who is he? What does he stand for? Why is he a guest?
He is a fanatic who thinks everyone should from drunk drivers to soldiers should be murdered.

He was interviewed on FOX to show us how evil liberals are.

What everyone seems to forget is, that Colmes is on the show as well. (Licks finger, sticks it up in the air) Yup! Still liberal. He was bashing this guy too.

By the way, if all of us Christians/ Conservatives get lobbed together, so do you.

If we've reached this point already, fine by me. Maybe we can agree to give you conservative christians the middle and the south, we'll take the coasts and Hawaii (less moving costs). The libertarians can have Alaska.

!!

Britain... what is that behind your back?

Nothing...

What is it?

...It's just the Faulklan Islands and numerous other small countries.

Well give them back!

Oh fine... *mumble*india*china*.... there...

What about the Faulklan Islands?

We need them for our strategic sheep herding purposes...

Where would I live? I respect christianity, and liberal values equally. Only problem is that I can't stand hippies or fundies.
