Not sure why there is a spending limit but that's what my BLuray player says.
Daily spending limit.
Customer service is useless on that site web chat or phone call they really don't know what's going on with any issue I've hd with cinemanow.

There is, its a security measure for credit card anti theft, even with Store Credit. No matter what people over exaggerate its 25 movie purchases/D2D Conversion per 24 hours with Cinemanow. I bet its with VUDU as well, but nobody has gotten a chance to exploit that like people do with Cinemanow "Store Credit".

That's what I was thinking not really a big deal cinemanow just started working on my Sony so I had afew credits laying around.
I can wait afew hours.

Can someone explain to me how they're transferring their movies to their VUDU (UV) locker without going to WalMart? Or am I just misreading quotes? When I go to VUDU's website all I see is to take your movies to WalMart. Cheers!

You need to download the program from vudu to disk to digital it was part of there vudu to go application.
 
READ ME for info on pre-sale codes and distribution: Pre-sale new release code sales are kept in a spreadsheet in the order payment is received. They are distributed like this: blu-ray first, then mixed bu/dvd that weren't sorted by supplier and finally codes from dvd. I don't get the last of my codes until evening on the day of release, so no way to tell until then exactly how many will be blu vs mixed vs dvd. The higher you are on the list, the more likely you are to get a blu code if that sort of thing matters to you. By late evening on release day or by the following morning, my post will be updated with the format(s) for any remaining codes and pricing will be adjusted at the same time. Release day prior to the update is the only time both formats will be the same price; after the update Blu- ray codes will be priced higher than mixed or dvd codes due to supply and demand.


READ ME for info on format: I never guarantee HD or HDX or 3D redemption quality etc because that's controlled by the issuing studio and also can vary by retailer (vudu vs flixster vs itunes etc). However, if I know where a code came from, it will be marked as such. Blu = blu-ray; Dvd = dvd and Mixed = code could be from either format dvd or blu-ray and I don't know which one.

We are dealing with VUDU customer support at the moment and they said that you CANNOT use 5 of each. You can only redeem 5 credit codes period, ever. Once you reach 5, you casnnot redeem any other credit codes. Thought you would like to know that.

I thought this was all I could use, but if I can use more of different values, I'm all for it. I've given up on buying BD, and want to just expand my UV locker.

depends on the $5 that youre using, the $10 one counts the same as the $5 game preorders/movie purchase. However you can use 5 of those along with the kleenix deal they have.

What's the benefit to using a Disc to Digital format through Vudu or CinemaNow? Is it just to add it to your UV library? Because I'm a big fan of using my AppleTV to stream so I'm thinking I'd be just as well off to rip my own. Unless the ripping process by Vudu/CinemaNow is better somehow.

It's not a ripping process. It simply identifies that you have a legit copy of the disc and then enables you a UV license of that movie.

I use VUDU because I don't have to buy an Apple TV and can use my existing PS3 to stream movies. However, if there is a cheaper alternative to watch HD content from iTunes on my HDTV via iPad then please let me know.

I was getting tired of the startup time for my PS3/Xbox when it came to streaming media, and the inconsistency so I opted for the Apple TV. It also had the added benefit of being able to stream the Apple protected content that I couldn't get to work with my PS3/Xbox in the past.

My only concern with Vudu is that licensing makes it so that you could lose your content at just about any time. I consider all my Vudu content to be rentals.

Yes, that is what I too consider them as. Also, weren't iTunes codes always in SD. I think they have recently started redeeming in HD.

They're always in SD.

Only a selected few titles from selected few Studios are redeemable in HD.
[especially so for their latest titles - but not guaranteed ]

Silly question here since I have not used iTunes a lot. Do you guys have to download all your movies or can you stream them like VUDU? I guess you can use iCloud but that cost like 100 bucks for 50 GB.

Movies are stored for free in the cloud, to my understanding all movies will stream in 720p/1080p regardless of format bought to the Apple TV depending on generation.
 
Previously itunes only offered sd copies however now is getting to offer movies in HD i have some now that i redeemed recently that are hd. With how bad horrible flixster is with tech support and the tons of people who are having issues with them vudu and cinema seem to be the only alternative to streaming if you dont have an apple tv. love mine by the way

All moves played on apple tv gen 2 or higher stream in hd regardless. Apple tv 2 streams in 720p because thats all its capable of and apple tv 3 streams in 1080p . I have an apple tv 3 and love it. I also have a uv locker and i like it however i cant stand flixster its nothing but trash so as i said before i have to watch my uv movies using vudu or cinema now. And yes they are stored in the cloud.
