I looked through the last 3 pages for the above mentioned movies, from CAGs I was willing to purchase from and for prices I wanted to pay. I didn't see any that fit that criteria. Some people have yet to respond or don't respond at all. This way is faster for me.
I'm not really sure how this inconveniences anyone?
What exactly is wrong with a wanted ad?
I delete my previous wanted list every time I post another.
I believe it's unreasonable to expect people to shift through 50+ pages of text to find a small list of movies.
My method is simple: If you're selling, I might be buying.

The thing is people list what they have and want for it and then you have people who say wow im not paying this and they waste space with useless posts of what they are willing to pay for it rather than pm'ing the person selling and saying hey ill give you this for it and seeing if they will take it.

2 tips:

1. you cant dictate what the going price is the sellers do although you are welcome to haggle.

2. You are creating the 50 plus pages of stuff to sift through with your useless posts trying to dictate something you have no control over.

Please stop doing it because your only going to irritate people who actually do regularly buy from the sellers here that have to work harder to find legit posts.

It went from people trying to save a few bucks by selling things they weren't using to people subsidizing their movie purchases by sticking it to CAGs. I won't even mention the odd dealers showing up. (Where does one get 22 copies of Zero Dark Thirty? This bothers no one else?)
You tell me which is easier for a guy who has a job/life:
1. Look through 50+ pages, pm every seller until one actually has the movies I want because many here don't bother to remove their selling list once they sell their movies?
Or
2. Put up a wanted ad and let the sellers come to me?
Until there is a rule against this, I will continue to post my ONE wanted ad.

An employee and friend at a video chain rental company where the UV codes are thrown in the dumpster gave me my 22 copies. That is where the majority of my codes have come from. I don't think it should bother anyone what the source of the codes so long as they redeem, are not stolen, and the seller does not misrepresent the source in any way shape or form. Also paying $4.00 to $5.00 per code is not unreasonable. The vast majority of people posting on this site are asking similar prices regardless of the number of copies they own. Those prices are still cheaper than purchasing the title from any of the actual provides of content (flixster, vudu etc) or going out and purchasing the actual bluray in order to get the digital copy.

I respect your reluctance to purchase from a new person on this site. I am hesitant as well to purchase from anyone on here. Thankfully I have yet to encounter anyone who is shady or has ripped me off in the short amount of time I have been a member.

Now can we all please let this topic die and stop cluttering up the thread..........

I don't mind 4. I tend to get most mine for 3 or under though. Watch most the movies but some I seen in theaters and I just buy them since I know I probably will want to watch them again eventually. Out of the 150+ I bought I think I only haven't seen maybe 5 movies and those 5 I got for a dollar or free as a deal.
I used to have a friend who worked at Family Video that I'd get most my codes from and sell. Eventually he figured out how to use paypal and cut out the middle man.

Just a sidebar before we end this OT, I did not mean any personal offense towards you. I appreciate this information you've provided. And while I am willing to pay up to $4, any price higher than that and I start considering buying the discs. My experiences have been pretty damn great here on CAG when trading and buying but there's always that first time...:)

I agree that this thread should get back OT. But before that just a couple more things. It's true that you're allowed to post a wanted list, so you've done nothing wrong in that respect. However, it seems that you have certain particularities when it comes to purchasing codes. So in order not to waste people's times by them PMing you their offers only for you to reject them then perhaps you can include the following in your wanted list.
1. The price that you're willing to pay. Since you're seeing an increase in the selling price, this would let sellers know what you want to pay without them trying to sell you codes at prices you don't want to pay.

I stated in my very first retort that I had searched the last 3 pages and that I did not see prices or CAGs I was willing to buy from. This covered the seller who offered me the code (which I am probably going to buy a code from due to his transparency). If someone PMs me with an offer, unless I'm tied up with work I respond ASAP. I do not waste anyone's time. If you are a seller, contacting people is part of the work included in that.

If you are a buyer at least abide by the guidelines that sellers do. You don't see sellers just posting without a price? Why because it doesn't make sense. Same thing as you posting a list of wants without prices. How are we supposed to know that you're not willing to pay certain prices? You ARE wasting peoples times if they end up contacting you only for you to tell them that their price is too high or the they are too new or that they have too many copies. You have so many specific requirements that most contact with you will end up going nowhere, thus wasting people's time. And how hard is it to just be a bit more specific with what you're looking for? At least do that much for sellers.
