I've gotten a membership at a gym recently to shed about 15 - 20 unwanted pounds. Since my time is spent on an elyptical machine, I've found that it's easy to pass the time watching movies on my iPod (almost done with Dark Knight). I figure this is a chance to catch up on my seasons of 24 that I have waiting for me (3-6) and wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion for free/cheap DVD to iPod software.

Again, I'm only looking to convert stuff I already own to get me through the monotony of losing weight.

Handbrake FTW. I actually had this installed but couldn't get it to read my DVDs until I found that you need to have DVD43 installed (which does on the fly decryption).

After that, I put the disk in, chose the Video_TS directory on the disk and copied all 4 titles of the first disk in like 3.5 hours (love the ability to "fire and forget) so essentially a 1:1 time conversion. Since I work out for 30 minutes at a time this disk will get me through about a week ... I'll rip a disk per night so it's not a problem.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
