My earphones are dying on me and I accidentally stepped on my headphones so I need to pick up another pair. Im looking at buying 2 sets of earphones(one as a backup) and one pair of headphones for my pc. I take really bad care of my headphones so I'm not looking for something expensive. Just looking for something that will give me pretty good sound, wont fall out my ear, and will last a decent amount of time. My budget is around $40 for all of 3 pairs.

So far I have been looking at these headphones. Cheap price and all the reviews have said that they are really comfortable.

Thoughts on those? And any recommendations on earphones?

Don't get those. They're open ear so they'll leak sound like crazy and you'll just end up turning up the music, damaging your hearing, and annoying everyone around you. If you're going to get a set of over-the-ear cans, you should get ones that enclose your ears. You'll get better sound and won't damage your hearing as much. As long as you stay away from Bose and Beats, you should be fine.

Sony is a good enough brand with cheapish offerings that fit that criteria. The MDRZX100 is probably a good choice.

edit: Take better care of your stuff.:D

I try to but I listen to music before I go to bed and usually fall asleep with them on and that kills them.

Thanks for the recommendation those MDRZX100 are cheaper than the PiiQs so I'll definitely get those. Now I just need some earphones. I was looking at the Sony MDRE828LP or the JVC Gummies. Is there any difference between these two ear phones?

There's probably not a huge difference between the two, although the shape of the sony's will probably make them fit better.
Koss Porta Pros. Best headphones I have ever owned.
Those are nice but out of my price range.

I ended up getting the Sony MDRZX100 for headphones and the Sony MDRE828LP and MDR-PQ5s earphones.
The porta pros are like $40.
$32 with free shipping at Amazon but I was looking for three pairs for around $30 and I wouldn't pay $30 for one pair of headphones.

sennheiser hd201s?
koss ksc 75s?

i like open headphones, i think they sound better. i use beyer dt880s, used to use grado sr80s, had a pair of portapros.
however yea, they leak a lot of sound and if you're going to be somewhere public where it could be an issue (bus/train/library/etc.) then you'll probably have to tone it down.

maybe that's why they keep breaking.
