Earphones: Pretty Much Required for Full Gaming Experience

I just got my PSP today. I'm not too impressed with PSP's built-in speakers, and since it came with NO ear buds I caved in and bought a pair of the Sennheiser MX-500's from Amazon. My total bill was $14.33. Thanks for the recommendation. I already have a pair of Labtec Elite 840 headphones but those squeeze pain against my ears after a while, so maybe I'll have better luck with these ear buds.

whoops...my Rio Karma came with MX 300s, not 500s...maybe I'll check these out.

if I think my ipod headphones are good, am I going to notice a big difference with MX 500s. (i have to admit, part of it is that I feel like a tool walking around with the white headphones...even though everyone in Madison has them.)
how are the logitech headphones, they are both around 10 bucks at amazon. The playgear mod and playgear stealth.
They're ok, although I am not fond of that particular design. I don't like for the little rubber pieces to go inside my ear canal. I prefer to regular kind that sit in the outer ear.

okay-- weird question time-- do you guys get zits or sores in your ears from these? occasionally I get huge painful zit in my ear from earphones.

any tips on preventing these?

I heard somewhere that cleaning your ears can help prevent zits in them. Probably just some old wives' tale or something though. :p
