And here I thought I was getting a good deal for Mega Man X2 and X3 for $50.

Congrats man!
Thanks, sweet score on X2 and X3 too. I'm actually secretly excited most about the complete Madden '95. Bah who am I kidding...I am so fired up on the Earthbound, I still can't believe it. Just when I think I'm done with craigslist, they pull me back in!

It's kind of crazy that he took such good care of the games over so long, but has absolutely no concept of the prices of them, or that a "V" is a 5 and not a 10 in Roman Numerals.

Yeah, that I couldn't understand at all. That's why I was so skeptical the entire time until I actually saw the games in the car. It was just too good to be true. How the hell do you confuse FFVII for FF12?!? How do you just not list Earthbound in the list of games you are selling?

And since he had no asking price and responded to my offer with "is this a serious offer" I was sure he knew the values and was offended by my ridiculous lowball. But no, I went for broke and he came back with "ok when can you get them". At that point I thought, okay the ad is fake and this guy is going to rob me at gunpoint and I will end up dead somewhere in Simi fucking Valley.

But nope, it actually worked out.

Must be the time of the year, because I just scored a PSP-1000 (Fat) w/ 2 gb Mem Stick Pro Duo for $5.00.

It had a cracked LCD screen, so I ordered a replacement screen for $19.00 shipped, replacement faceplate for $3.50, and an analog stick top for $0.50. Best of all, it has the original firmware on it (never been updated).

OMFG... you lucky bastard! Excellent haul man!

The people who sold you all that stuff would probably kick themselves if they knew what all of that was really worth!

So, umm, can you tell us all where you live. I promise we won't rob you...

...probably. :p
Any interest in sharing the wealth with CAG? Trade or Sell?
We'll just have to see. First I'll have to test everything and upgrade the games I already have in my collection. No way is the complete Earthbound available though, sorry guys. That's going to be another crown jewel in the collection.

BTW, I think you are on to something in regards to the time of year, metaphysicalstyles. I've had a lot of amazing scores throughout the years in the springtime. People doing their spring cleaning perhaps. Plus with all the ridiculous sales lately, like the Gamestop/amazon game discounts + online coupon codes + giftcards pricematching war, Fry's anniversary sale etc. it's been simply ridiculous.

Sweet deal, bro. Yeah, craigslist and yardsales are like that, painfully ugly on the surface but amazing in terms of what you can find in person and when folks invite you into their basements :hot:
