If you haven't seen this game yet, it's worth a look. The gameplay/ai/graphics don't look all too appealing but the idea is pretty interesting and has had me laughing out loud at points.

And the game stars Will Arnett and Neil Patrick Harris, two of my favorite actors.

Summary (I took it from Wiki, I'm lazy)
Little is known so far about the game's plot. Matt Hazard, a legendary video game character with over 25 years of video games to his credit, is attempting a "comeback" of sorts in a new game on next-generation consoles. In the game, Matt will be taking on all of his old adversaries from his previous adventures. In reality, the "comeback" game is being staged by one of his old enemies, the CEO of the game's company who grew to hate Matt Hazard through the difficulty of his games, who has complete control over the game world and manipulates the game world seemingly at will, similar to the classic Warner Bros. animated cartoon Duck Amuck.
The game is a spoof of gaming and, as such, will poke fun at many aspects of gaming and culture. Pete Andrew, vice president of product development at D3 Publisher, says, "Eat Lead parodies some of our fondest memories in classic gaming and pop culture, so gamers will have a laugh out loud experience every time they pick-up the controller."[2]
2009's Eat Lead is Hazard's return to form and the thirteenth game in the series, albeit the first to actually exist.[1]
The title character and the villain will be voiced by Will Arnett and Neil Patrick Harris respectively.

Here's two parts of a developer walk-through;
(awesome sprite Nazi's!)

Seems pretty cool, hope it shapes up a little better though.

Looks interesting but the enemy AI seems terrible. It just kind of stands there and faces the character without firing half the time :\

Thing is, they could always play it off as "we are parodying bad AI" haha. They got like an escape from bad game cliche free card in this game... it's genius. What they got to do though is, have some gameplay outside of the "Game simulator" and show what gameplay should be, so there is a differentiated style to judge the other gameplay.

I first heard about this months ago, back when the only teaser for it was the fake "fansite" they made for it, which I thought was incredibly clever, and really set my expectations for the humor quite high. The "Behind the Game" thing that came after that was pretty lame, and not very funny at all, so that threw my expectations off a bit.

It's from the developer of Dead Head Fred, which had absolutely fantastic writing (and even won the first Writer's Guild of America award for videogame writing) and was a really great game to boot, so I'm hoping they manage to maintain the lofty standards for humor and gameplay that they set with that game.
Looks like it's already out at Gamestop. Odd that there aren't any reviews out for it.

Anyway, there are some impressions up on NeoGaf and they all seem very positive: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353112&page=3.

I'm really interested in trying this game out, but I'm just not sure I want to spend $50.00 on it.
:rofl:

One of the chapters is called
"Backdoor Assault at the Big House (it's not what you're thinking)"
