i hate how they put those stickers everywhere. There are 3 on each package and 1 on the disk. Well i have seen post before but cant find them on a search but how do you guys remove them. I have heard goo gone works but its not a very commen item that i can find. I have been using alchol but it doesnt work perfectly. What do you guys recomend. Somebody should sticky one of these topics because it is a major issue if your buying used. Thanks.

Peel the corner of the sticker, get a very hot blow dryer, and melt the stickiness as you peel. Once the sticker is up, take a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, wet it a little, and rub the area that has residue.

I turned a sticker-infested Backyard Baseball (GBA) into a like-new cart this way.

Goo-Gone can be found at any hardware store or even a grocery store. I am also in the same situation, but unless you have the game on display or something you don't really see the stickers so it's not a huge deal. Also, check out your local blockbuster, they sometimes sell cases to Xbox/Ps2/GCN. I picked up like 10 xbox cases and 5 Ps2 cases for $3. This fixes the problem way better than Goo-Gone or anything else ever could.

This is the way I have done it in the past with great results. Be careul though. Try and avoid extreme heat when trying to remove the labels off of cases. I have messed up once or twice by letting the plastic sleeve getting too hot and warping a bit. Heat for a few seconds, then remove the heat and peel, then repeat.... Good luck

If you're carefull you can try a blow dryer. Enough heat will break up the adhesive, allowing you to peel the sticker off easily. The trick is to make short, but quick passes. If you do this for too long, you can damage to plastic. I'd also make sure the cd's aren't in the case. They can also be damaged. It's trickier then WD-40+Windex or GooGone, but it's quick and clean.

Wow thanks OP for starting this thread, because I myself had been wondering and was going to ask the gamer consrtium of CAG. I have a lot of old DC games from Gamecrazy that have that residue/ sticky stuff from their stickers. I'll try doing the mr. clean eraser and the goo gone. How much are those by the way? Would simple water and soap do the trick or could it ruin the game case or game?

the EBs over here only put 1 sticker on the games and thats the price sticker. Which comes off real easy, sometimes if their is a new release and its open there will be a new release sticker, but that is easy to take off as well. I don't know what is wrong with the other EBs, but I'm glad the ones over here only use 1 sticker.

also, no matter what method you use to remove the sticky, take out the box art insert just in case an accident occurs, like goo gone getting on it or something, that way if you mess up, you only wreck the case, which can be replaced easily, unlike the box art.

Slowly take off the sticker as far as you can without having the sticky residue. If it gets to the point where you can't help but have the residue, continue to pull off the whole sticker. Now, repeatedly apply the sticker to the residue surface. Eventually the sticker's own stickiness will take off the residue. Also using Scotch brand tape takes those suckers off quickly and cleanly. Hope that helps.

yeah i have done that on disk before with the scotch tape. Hopefully someone will realise this needs to be stickeyed because it it a issue for people.

yeah. this works well except scotch tape doesn't work as well as heavier duty tape like mailing tape. works great and always comes off. not sure how it works on the cds itself. just another mystery

yeah. i wasi going to say the same thing fmar. Welcome To CAG. Enjoy your flight and keep your seats and traytables in a upright position.
