I just sold something on eBay, and the buyer lives in Germany. The item was listed as shipping only to the United States. I assume I'd be justified in canceling the transaction. How would I go about doing so?

If I were you, I would be nice to email buyer that I stated that I only ship it in US, not international. i will have to cancel your bid. Go to resolution center and open the case to cancel the transaction with a reason on ebay.

Yup Email the winner. Tell him us only. And then you gotta go through the hassle to relist your item and get the fees refunded from ebay. Always annoying since it takes forever.

If the buyer has a AE/APO (us military bases in europe/germany) address however you may want to mail it if his feedback and confirmed address check out.

I haven't sold anything on Ebay recently, but don't you have the option to approach the second-highest bidder (through official channels of course) and see if he/she wants it? Of course this assumes there was another bidder at a price that's acceptable to you.
