Hello guys wanted to get advise since I've never seen this before

Somone BIN an auction of mine, payed me instantly (today, may 14) and then filed an unrecieved item dispute. He also sent me a message saying he purchased the item in error giving unpossible reasons.

My 2 questions are

1: how much trouble did he just cause me

and

2: Whats the standard procedure for this

I'm thinking probably had the person in quesiton handled the situation better, It would be a lot easier to refund them, but the ebay fees are a hassle, he filed a despute before contacting me, and was rude in his message.

What should I do?
Thanks

Me fail English? That's unpossible!

Can you file a NPB against him? At this point, I'm not sure what you are to do. At least you didn't send him the item, or you'd probably be out that too.

I wonder if the buyer realized that he just screw himself if you decide to send him an emppty box with DC

first, get into contact with him and see if he wants the game...if he does, send the item out and get a tracking number and put it in the paypal dispute.

If he doesn't want the item, refund his money asap. Respond to the paypal dispute saying the customer backed out of the deal, and as soon as you were made aware of it you refunded him the money. Then file a NPB report on ebay. Depending on how you want to handle that is up to you. But you can say you both mutually ageed to back out of the decision. You can file one where you put the entire blame on the buyer. You will get your ebay fee's back, so you aren't out any money. If you refunded his money, the refund will also take care of the paypal fee's. Unless things have changed and I haven't come across them, a buyer can't leave you negative if you give the a NPB, and you will get your fee's on ebay back so no loss.

You can always be a dick, and just send out the package with tracking. Keep the money, and put the tracking number into the paypal dispute. The paypal dispute should eventually close if you have a tracking number in it. If it doesn't close in your favor, you can always appeal it. I have had to appeal 2 disputes, and won both of them.

WTF? Let me get this straight, a buyer did a BIN, paid and than file a didn't receive item dispute all in the same day? I have no idea about what do, but probably email paypal and ebay and tell them you'll refund the money but you shouldn't be responible for any fees since this jackass messed up your listing. Good luck.

If you decide to back out of the deal file a mutual agreement to end the transaction FIRST! This will refund your fees and will make sure the buyer will not leave you hanging with your fees. After the buyer mutually agrees to end the transaction you can then refund their paypal payment.

This is of course assuming that is the path you wish to take. Otherwise, you might have a large headache on your hands with paypal and the buyer (not to mention a transaction of this nature will likely end with negative feedback being left).

I'd just do the mutual withdrawal... the guy's an idiot, obviously, but it's the easiest way.

Chances are, he BIN'd your auction and then won another one for less or something. Or he realized he's a dumb ass and doesn't really want the item even though he paid for it.

Thanks for all the advise

I'm not sure how to file a mutual agreement to end transaction, atm, but will look into it.

I messaged ebay to see what they say on the situation.

In anycase, since I'm stuck with a headache anyway, I'll not make a decision until the buyer responds to the message I send him, if thats not too wrong.

Thanks again, I'll keep ya updated if anyone cares ^^

P.S.
unpossible is a ludicris non-word to use in ludicris situations

the only issue is if you file it as a mutual agreement ebay will contact the buyer. If they disagree they will close the dispute in there favor and you won't get your fee's back. Make sure you communicate with the buyer and let them know that is the route you want to take (if you want to due the mutual withdrawal) and make sure they are fine with that.
