CAGiversary!
I recently sold rpg maker 2 on ebay. I bought new awhile back and played a few times, disc was mint no scratches played perfect. Buyer emails me today and said disc does not play and displays dde message. He said in the email he expects a full refund and once given he will return the game to me if i want it at my expense. What would you do? Also i have not left feedback or recieved any yet.

Wrong forum, and your hands are tied at this point. Either you refund the money, or he gets Paypal (if you used it) and Ebay involved and it creates a messy situation.

Not much you can do, really.

Wrong forum...

But, I would not give him a refund till you have the game in hand, perioid. In your ebay auction, did you say anywhere 'as-is, no refunds etc.'? Regardless, like I said before, I would not give a refund AT ALL until you have the game in hand. A link to the aucton would be helpful as well.

I believe, even if Paypal rules in his favor, he has to return the game to you (with some sort of delivery confirmation) in order to get his refund. That's what Paypal did in a dispute I had.

Sounds fishy to me - like judy said - make sure you have the game in hand before you refund. I'd also suggest making him pay 1/2 the shipping back to you if it did indeed work for you when you shipped it.

what is the buyer's feedback like? if you are like me and keep all of your disc based media in absolute mint condition, then i'd assume the guy either has something wrong with his hardware or he is trying to screw you over...in either case, he deserves no refund. and if he ends up having low feedback, especially if he has been a member for only a short time and/or has received negatives from other ebay users, then you know the guy is bad news.

I did ship with dc and i just checked his feedback. He has 6 positive and 1 negative also he has only left feedback once and it was a neautral.

Wow...6 postives and 1 Negative, and has left only a neutral? Leads me to beleive this guy is just an ass. Sadly, Paypal could careless how many Negatives he has, they will most likley refund his money (if he files a claim, and if he paid with Paypal, you have not said yet).

Link to the auction?

mint game? not your fault if his system is fucked up. e-mail him toe following message

"SCREW YOU"
