Basically, this guy's an asshole. The game was bought brand new at EB (last copy so it was opened by them) and was NEVER played by me and had no scratches or no "bends" in the insert. I am kicking myself for giving him the $20 refund, but I just was trying to avoid any unpleasent chargebacks. God, I'm an idiot.

It's just too coincidental that he has the exact 2 games he bought from me listed 1 and 3 days after he received them from me and complained about their condition and he has them listed in their actual condition that I sold them in.

So in short, do not buy from or let itsshortforleo buy from you. If he buys from you, expect him to contact you for a partial refund as I believe this is his scam. He ended up getting Castlevania for $39 from me and is selling it now for $75. I am going to go to some of the other ebay sellers he bought all those Final Fantasies from and see if he asked for partial refunds with them too.

There's really nothing I can do to this jerk, but spread the word. All I can hope for is that what goes around comes around.

I used to do the partial refund thing, but had pretty much the same thing happen to me. Now, if a buyer isn't happy with the condition of a game, they can send it back and get a full refund, that's it. I can always sell it to someone else.

New members to the blocked list are always welcome. Thank you OP and sorry about the problems. Personally I woulda done the same as briansraregames. It's either all or none. They ship the game back and get a full refund (upon "inspection and verification that it is the same game") or they keep it and stfu.
how about you buy the game and say the same thing he said to you and do the same thing?
I thought about doing that or buying them back and doing a chargeback, but then I'd be no better than he is (plus his prices for my games are outrageous I sold him Valkyrie Profile for $110 BIN he wants $135, and Castlevania SoTN for $59 before the refund, he wants $75, my prices were the average BINs, his are greedy, I want as much as I can get).

I'm done with him. The more I think about it, the more pissed I get, so I'm just going to let people know and block him from bidding on my stuff and move on. I'll leave it to time to catch up to him. He's been doing a lot of business on ebay lately with high profile games so eventually he will run into a bigger scammer than he is.

Also I think if I said send the game back for a full refund, he would have actually bent the back insert and scratched the disc as those two things were the only things not clearly visable in the listings pictures. Then I'd get the damaged game back and have to give him a refund. From now on though, I will add no partial refunds and inspection and verification that it's the same game in the same condition as I sent it out in if they want to send it back to me in order to get a refund to all my listings. Thanks for the tips guys.

interesting. I don't know maybe that's yours he selling, but he tells me that he is completly honest in all his listings when I contacted him asking if that was the one I sold him he is now selling as it is in the same condition mine was in and he said was all scratched and bent up, so if that is yours he's selling than he is exaggerating the condition of it and is not being honest in his listing because he says his is "Like new, not a scratch on the disc, manual and disc in perfect condition", which is exactly the condition mine was in and the one you sold him has light manual wear and disc wear. All I know is the condition I sold mine in was like brand new and he lied and said it was grossly misrepresented and I lied in the listing and wanted $20 for his troubles. Which is all untrue.

Seriously, if you paid close to $200 for 2 rare games and they came all scratched up and damaged as he says they were and not "even close to the way I described them in the auctions" would $20 be all you would need to get over it and leave me glowing feedback, highly recommending me and so forth? $20? I would want all my money back if $200 worth of games arrived in the condition he says they arrived in and I damn sure wouldn't leave the feedback he left me, highly recommending someone who according to him lies in the auction listings about the condition of the games being sold. It all just doesn't sit well with me. Something screwey is going on.

All my other auctions and feedback buyers say "item as described" I'm honest in all my listings, I point out and even post pictures of all the flaws to avoid these types of things (ie: Valkryie Profiles instruction book was coming apart, pictures were posted of it).

So I don't know what his game is. Maybe he only does it to poeple who offer specific return policies (didn't see that on your auction) or maybe he saw my girlfriends ebay username and thought he could take advantage of a chick or something or maybe he just felt chipper that Saturday and wanted to screw someone over and chose me.
