So what are the consequences of getting an unpaid item strike?

Will my account be terminated because of it? I never received an paid item strike. Long story short, seller wouldn't cancel our transaction. But that was my fault because I didn't want the item anymore.

The only worst thing I've gotten was a warning for selling a hacked PSP. But that was over 6 months ago. According to my dashboard summary, it seems pretty fine. Here's a summary of it:

So will I be let off with a warning?

As a seller, if the buyer changes his mind and contacts me right away I have no problem with eating the eBay fees and not reporting him. It's just part of the cost of doing business if you want to have a good rep. What I hate is when the guy strings me along for a week or more; prices drop fast on newish games so 2 weeks delay can be costly.

For me, if I decided I didn't want the item anymore, I usually contact the seller immediately about it. Usually I say that I'm just going to send it back to the guy so why not just save the hassle and cancel the transaction and if needed, pay the listing fee. Completely up to the seller though. The strike will be on your record though.

Two strikes and you are out with my items. That's why 90% of my items are "buy-it-now" and "requires immediate payment." I have only had to deal with maybe 5 unpaid buyers in my years of ebay. However, like a previous poster stated, contacting the seller earlier than later could improve the negotiations. Ebay's new 3 day policy is a bit better now.

I know as a seller the last thing i want to deal with is buyer who doesnt pay quick, but usually im fortunate on that end. Cant really recall never being paid...in my tens years on ebay...

I only do buy-it-nows with immediate payment. Never have to deal with non-payers.

I think I have one unpaid item strike and it's because the seller pretty much tried to hustle me and there was no way I was getting screwed. I placed a starting bid, the item description changed two or three times with things like "Contact me for actual shipping + handling charge", and then the auction ended like four days early. There's no way someone is letting two Playstation 2's and 30 games go for $75.

You don't have to eat the fees... You can just cancel a transaction and get your fees back without giving the buyer a non-paying bidder strike.

Keep in mind, it's eBay, not Walmart. You should really commit to the things you buy (or just come up with a better excuse... jk). I think after 2 or 3 unpaid item strikes, eBay takes action against the buyers account. It really depends on the situation.
In your case: They will most likely just send you off with a slap on the wrist.

I agree.
The strike stops you from being allowed to buy my items--I block buyers with an unpaid item strike.
I block buyers with an unpaid item strike too.

I block them as well.

whats the deal?

If your honest with teh seller you should be set. You could really string him along and that will just piss them off and possibly cost them more money.

I was being honest, I came straight forward instead of ignoring them, which most buyers do if they do not want the item anymore. But i paid so it's w.e. My GS credit will make it up..
