Lately, I have bought Onimusha 3 and Viewtiful Joe 2 (PS2) while they are in the cheap price. Both two of them are brand new with Sealed sticker and stuff. I opened up Onimusha 3 and found out that their is one tiny sratch. That's okay with me, but the horror is when I opened VJ2. I opened my VJ2 yesterday and the disc fall down. It's like the disc never sit tight on the disc holder thingy. I check on the back of the disc and there are some little thing like dirty all over the disc, and there are many scratches too.

Is it possible that Ebgames.com throw in "used" game and sealed the box to sell it as brand new? Or maybe it's my bad luck that the VJ2 disc doesn't sit tight and got sratches. Now I have to re-order another VJ2 game disc and hope to it to be perfect sratchless.

It's probably bad luck... I bought Viewtiful Joe 1 from Target for ps2, and as soon as I opened it up the case the disc fell out, had some scratches but played fine.

Went to check out the other copy, and sure enough, that case rattled as well, so I guess it's just crappy cases.

Before some tard mentions the whole "EB SALES USED GAMES AS NEW OMG DISPLAY COPIES".. #1, we're dealing with the website, and #2, it had the security seal on it.

Just bad luck, i'm guessing. I've had games fall out when I open them. Hell, when I opened up Fantastic Four, on the left side (XBox case) the two green thingies that hold the instruction book were broke.

Gotta ask, was the seal the easy to tear off melted plastic stuff? Or was it the standard kind where you have to open a fold at the top to take the plastic off?

If buy online cheap price, and have security sticker, they brand new... If scratches on VJ2, you call number have it exchange for good one :)

No, it's the same kind of seal like all other brand new ps2 games. So I think it's brand new.

....I have been shopping with Ebgames.com for years and always trust them. Always throw the reciept away because I never instend to return anything that I buy. I guess it's bad luck this time, oh well, another 13 bucks for another copy of VJ2.

It's possible the game fell out of the spindle. It happens with Gamecube all the time for some reason. I would say half the Gamecube games I get brand new are loose in the case (not just from EB but other store like Best Buy and Target as well).

so did your GC discs got sratches and stuff? Maybe it's the small disc so it won't get that much scratch? I dunno, I have to buy another VJ2 copy because all my games collection must have no scratches in it

You may have threw out the receipt, but EBgames.com WILL have record of your transaction... call them with your order number which can be easily accessed through your account file through them... tell them it came loose and was scratched, they will probably send you or email you a return label... return the game and wait for the new one... simple

Games DO come loose sometimes during shipment, not really anyones fault...

Just have it exchange for a new one if you are not satisfied. You have every right as a customer to ask for this. Don't spend your money again for a new one, no reason for you to.

Damn you guys are getting some fucked up games. Mine only get damaged manuals (I exchange til I get a good one though).

Hmmmm I'm out of luck again, the copy I ordered was shipped on 6/2 so it's one month passed already. I guess they will never exchange anything beyond 30 days. Time to put out another 13 bucks.

Anyway, thanks all of you who helped.

It happpens...I get that every once in a while-- a DVD will just be scratched to high hell in its case, yet it was factory sealed.
If the games play fine, why bother returning them?
If you are a perfection person, then your GAME COLLECTION will only have sratchless games in it. It might be paranoid, but all of my games have no sratch on it. Each person have different taste and view on their game I guess..
