Check out some of the used games at EBgames, its showing me in-store availability. Never seen that before...

Well, not just used, any game for that matter. Even an hour ago it didn't do that.

It's automatic and less of a hassle than Gamestop's instore search too.

This is great for finding some of the more obscure titles that get buried in the store.

I wish they'd show the out of stock titles at ebgames.com so we could check instore availability on them, they're still removing/hiding them once they go out of stock.

Hmm, theres a Lunar SSSC 1 block from my house, I wonder if its complete...

$39.99 - 30% off coupon instore, $27.99, not too bad if its complete.

No, its new as of today. You are thinking of the in-store pickup option.

I love Lunar. It is a great game....well, I guess that's why I own four copies! :)

why does it say all store to confirm price?

this is not in store pick up of an order, its just a massive list of whats it stock at all stores?

This is not in-store pickup, its just telling you if a store near you has it in stock.[/quote]

thats pretty weak =o\

Pretty weak for you. Pretty good for me. I have an EB less than a block down the street from me. I can check to see if an item is in stock there or not, and I can use a 30% coupon in store on it if its used. Its great for hard to find stuff. Makes things a lot easier.

the things you find for us dafoomie. see? the sox winning the world series did more good than we all thought. keep staying up late and updating us on findings such as these.

Good eye dafoomie. Thanks. Now they need to keep their used and out of stock games up all the time, so we can see if it's available in store.

About f'ing time. That was one of the main reasons I shopped at GameStop stores, because I could easily track down games without phoning around. Of course it would be a little more helpful in telling me how many there are rather than just giving me a small little box with Mall and Outlet store names. Now all they need to do is revert to the no sales tax except in select states and they'll be my retailer of choice again...

Wow, that's a cool feature.

I've noticed that sometimes the games in-store are not as cheap as online. Not sure if they just haven't changed the stickers or what.

yeah but i dunno, ive never had a hard time finding the "rare" games, ive had more trouble trying to find prices as low on used games as eb.com.

go to a b&m store and a game thats $1.99 online might be 4 or 6 bucks...

This is a nice new feature, thanks for pointing it out OP.

However, the problem I have with this is, it tells you which stores in your area carry the game, however the game prices are not the same as those cited on EBgames.com.

Case in point, TMNT lists onsite as $4.99 but at the stores it's still $9.99, same for Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.

On the other hand, the Jewel case games like the Lego Creator, Lego Island 2 etc. are shown as $2.99 to 1.99 but the stores are clearing those out for 25 cents.

(additional update - I did a search for TMNT and the store availability showed it at several stores. I did a call in to check on the price and confirm availability and both were wrong as far as what the website says vs. reality. None of the stores had the game in stock and their price for the game was higher that that posted on the website - website $4.99 and B&M $14.99).

Is that supposed to be a really bad pun?

Anyways, glad to see they've finally implemented this. The closest EB to me is a 20 minute walk away (no car being here at college) and now I can actually see if they have what I want in stock without having to trek all the way down there each time. Also don't have to wait forever for our mail service to process the package this way.

Also, I'm pretty sure the difference between the local prices and the website prices is because they're two different entities. I remember an employee telling me how they set their prices independent of the website because their franchise terms are a bit looser than some other stores (if calling a franchise is the right term).

Pretty cool. Since it's brand new, maybe they are still tweaking it and will add the ability to see how many copies are at the store in the future.

I pre-ordered the Xbox Holiday Bundle for In-Store pickup at EBgames.com and the inventory system shows it as available at my store. Yet EBgames (B&M) hasn't called me to pick it up yet. Hmm...

Nah, I just want it complete with the box and map and stuff, if its disc only or missing something then I don't want it.

What sucks for now is that if its out of stock on the website, you cant check for it in store. I really hope they change that to be more like gamestop where it shows you the game even if its not in stock.
