Anyways I'm up to about $300 USD profit on this, and i gotta give so much thanks to whoever made that thread. What I did was as most of you already know is you can get buy 2 get 1 free on previously played xb/ps2/cb games at Blockbuster, which you can find games like hitman contracts, enter the matrix, and manhunt all for around 9.99. So you spend about 20 bucks to get three games to trade-in. Another game that work is Outlaw Golf. 9 MORE hold of x-mas which goes for 2.99 at blockbuster, but you dont get the buy 2 get one free on those cause they are new. When you trade in your games to EBgames, your trading in around 10-25 dollars worth of your money for about a 40 dollar game. So what you can do is then turn that around and sell it on ebay for 30-40 with worldwide shipping, so that people from different countries will bid (you can sell these games like within 3 hours of you putting them on at a buy now price of 34.99usd and also make sure you ship to other coutries other than the US, because thats who buys them fast.) Not only can you make double/triple you amount you spend, but for every 2 psp games you buy you can mail in for $10 gift voucher at Ebgames. So like i have about 14 games bought and sold so far, that means I will get $70 worth of credit. Some other things you might be able to try is to have a friend go back into the store that you traded in the outlaw golfs to, and have him buy them back then go to another store and use them again. Hopefully someone gives this a try before the offer ends on April 10th. Ive gotten a PSP + games for free doing this.

I think that's awesome. Sounds like you had to work your ass off and drop a good amount of cash up front. I was going to do something like this myself, but i'm having a hard time coming up with tradeable games from blockbuster. and the guys at eb refuse to type in 9 more holes in the computer.
Out of curiosity, because i'm really bad at math, how many times did you have to repeat this process to get what you have?

(just as a side note though-- just to point out a contradiction, not to thread crap, because I think you made a great move --but how is this cool but if someone buys a couple copies of a game he/she finds for cheap and sells them, it's considered "hoarding"? this is the same thing. just thought i'd point this out, in hopes that people who scream "hoarder" think twice.)

Its not hoarding. The games that people are buying and trading into EB are there for a reason - nobody wanted them. People just bitch and cry hoarder because THEY wanted to hoard for this EB deal and didn't get there fast enough.

I don't typically hoard, but I would in a heartbeat if I could use it to my advantage. I'll let people whine "hoarder" at me all day while I play my $10 copy of Doom 3. :)

I definitely see your point though, and there is no difference. It is hypocracy.

haha, I'm like you! but I only made $100 profit so far. I list a couple at ebay and sold them for $30, but I found out that one of m receipt say that I bought it for $43.33. Basically, I just return it and get $43.33 cash. I'm stop for now because I'm lazy and I got midterm coming all this week.

wtf? youre selling all of these on ebay? apparently you love shipping shit, i despise shipping stuff, its time consuming.

If you spent $10 - $15 to get $30 + back, and did that more than once, you'd find the time to ship stuff.

So, you've been to GameRush to buy the games, went to EB to trade them in, got the new games and listed them on eBay, shipped the games internationally, done this enough for $300 worth of profit, and you are only 2 days into it? I don't think you deserve credit for taking advantage of the deal. Instead, I think you deserve credit for being able to bend time to your will.

Why is this guy congratulated when everyone else that takes advantage of deals and uses ebay to profit is scolded?

After reading the first post I expected to see 12 replies of everyone griping at him...instead it's just about the opposite. Personally, I could care less but it's interesting how some ways to profit off games are tolerated, even encouraged, while others are shunned on this board when basically they all accomplish the same thing.

love to find someone willing to pay 30-40 bucks for a used outlaw golf or hitman contracts or any of the other 9.99 pieces of junk BB sells. our EB only gives 1 buck for hitman contract and 25 cents for the golf

and selling to other countries very good chance its a scam and you will send the games but never get the cash but im glad you got it to work but not worth the RISK to most

i doubt there will ever be a better money making time then last Xmas then they did Trade 3 Ps1 games in get a game for 10 now there was a way to turn a quick buck.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about selling the new unopened PSP games on EBay, not Outlaw Golf or Hitman Contracts.

2004 profit was between 1000-1500.(using the TRU and BB games with the trade 5 deals at Eb).....im at 700 in credit at Eb with a 3 to 1 margin so far this year

heh. I was thinking that myself. Between all the driving and trips to the post office, ugh.

I earn almost $300 a day as a school teacher and I only have to drive 4 miles =/

Ha! True dat!

Congrats to the OP. It's good to see that even though EB's trade-in policies have gotten tighter, there are still people out there that can beat them at their own game :)

I'm up about $280 (7 times $40) mostly I've traded in stuff that I'm done with or no one wanted in trades . . . mostly $5 games from CC last year that I no longer need to keep.

Wish I could work it the way some have, but my Blockbusters are busted.

my pc broke and i was out of the loop. I get it now

TRADE 3 games in get a FREE PSP game

so your getting 3 cheap games at Blockbuster taking those games in getting a free PSP game

hummm

6 bb games at 9.99 each buy 2 get 1 free 40 bucks ... say if Ebgames takes them all 2 free PSP games + 10 buck rebate but i doubt the rebate would work.

2 PSP games for 30 bucks out of pocket then say you sell them for 30 each total profit 30 bucks ???? again not worth the risk but it would be a nice way to get DIRT CHEAP PSP games .

im half tempted to try this i mean if i could get around 6 PSP game for around 15 each 90 bucks + 250 for system wouldnt be bad to have a
SYSTEM and 6 games for less then 350

I'm at $853 in credit with 7 PSP games so total around $1133. I have around 8 EB in my area so I was able to spread the trade-ins around. Spent about $300-$400. I'll say it was time consuming but worth it.

we got 4 Ebgames here BUT with GAS now hitting 2.50 per gallon its not worth running around.

one Ebgames is 9 miles
Another would be another 12 miles
another would be another 4 miles
then the 4th would be 21 miles

then add 25 miles back home so around 80 miles total say and say 10 mpg i get (i know my car SUCKS) so i would need 8 gall. x 2.50 per gallon would be another 20 + my time

now add running to BB stores what say would be the same to hit 3 BB games.
and say i was lucky enough to find 3 or 6 games per store

3 per store would only fetch me 4 trade ins

$20 at each store x 4 stores TOTAL 80 bucks out of pocket
Gas running to Ebgames + the 4 BB Total 80 For gas out of pocket

Total so far 160 bucks out of pocket

4 free PSP games at 40 each total 160

so i would have to trade more then 12 games in at a day just to break even.

Yea it will be great if you can find some Game close to your house but doing all this running i will be lucky to break even and you run the risk of EBGames not taking the games
wait can someone tell me about the $10 eb gift voucher for buying 2 psp games????
bump
What are some games that you guys are buying from Blockbuster to trade in?
Buy 2 Get 1 FREE!

enter the matrix 6.99
front mission 4 9.99
Jak and draxter 9.99

So far, I haven't bought anything . . . I've done 8 sets of 3 tradeins just with stuff from my collection (some were trade copies when I bought them . . . 24 games have hardly made a serious dent in my collection.

Today I traded in:
Whiplash PS2
I-Ninja GC
Grabbed by Ghoulies
Bombastic
Cat in the Hat
Nicktoons Movin' eyetoy

All were $5 games that I've played and am pretty much done with . . . even if I decide to rebuy any, I'll be able to get them at $13 or less.

The Nicktoons I bought for my eyetoy and my kids, but it sucks. I got it off EB.com for $18 - 25% free shipping plus tax with instore credit . . . I think I'm out a dollar.

I'm getting tapped out, I may buy a few at BB . . . I did spot some $9.99 copies of Hitman Contracts and Syphon Filter . . . $20 to make $40 in credit? I may do this once.

As for gas . . . my trips are pretty much on the way for me.

I put them on as a buy now price so they sold within like an average of 2 hours, also they payed me within a hour after the auctions closed. I bought enough games to get around 11 PSP games. Why does that sound like it takes a week?
