Back in high school we'd fire up the Tandy 1000's and play Tradewinds for hours. Dodging pirates, buying and selling spices, etc.

Later on I became addicted to Gazillionaire (PC), and most recently I've been giving Sid Meier's Pirates on Xbox a try. I know there's one out for GBA, a graphical remake of Tradewinds called Sea Trader, but I've never been able to track a cheap copy down.

Anybody else like these type of games? Any suggestions for other games of this type to try?

In high school everyone had a drug dealing game on the Ti-83 graphing calculators. Just buy cheap in one country and sell in another, just like the real thing (I imagine!). You could easily change the names of the products to apply it to anything though.

Yeah, Drug Wars!

I played that one, but it just didn't seem to have the same type of draw for me.

Try Capitalism and/or Capitalism 2. Not the best graphically, but the gameplay is great if you are into this type of game.
