Elf through WB upgrade expired digital copy now works- also help for invalid WB codes

WB recently extended all expired codes (as previously discussed in another thread).

You can now get a digital copy of Elf through iTunes if you got the DVD to Blu upgrade copy that had already expired. I screwed this up but here's what you should do:
Load iTunes. Put in Elf digital copy disk. Type in code. If you have a problem with the code there, look at what happened to me below and start where the link for their help page is at.



Here's what happened to me (you only need to read this if your code doesn't work or you have another WB movie with an invalid code):

I put in the disk and they wanted me to install their shitty proprietary software manager. I went along with it to get my movie. The thing crashed on me so I try it again, enter the code again, and (of course) get the message that it's been used already.

I load iTunes, put the Elf digital copy disk in. iTunes navigates to the Elf screen, I use the code and it's used.

I go to the WB digital copy support page:

Chose US
Type in "Elf"
Choose the third option
Click "here" where it says to "click here".
Enter your info including your authorization code.
You IMMEDIATELY get a message saying your problem was "researched" and you receive a new code that works for iTunes.
