This has a lot of neat features, DS demos, live stream videos (supposedly in full screen too!), and making recommendations for games. Time to pimp Zack & Wiki and Metroid Prime 3 people!

I hope these are for Virtual Console games too.

I'm surprised at how much Nintendo seemingly wants to use digital distribution/online features to their advantage, since it is in stark contrast to the actual implementation. I mean this entire channel - as Kohler puts it - is meant to entire you to buy more Nintendo products. So it's basically a gigantic link list to videos, demonstrations, commercials, etc. You'd think they'd want to actively encourage things like background downloading to a hard drive, for example. Seems like that would be a better usage of...well, everything.

The DS demo download is going to be awesome.

Me too. How long was the time between the Check Mii Out channel launching in Japan and the US?

Just realized that Check Mii Out launched worldwide. Man I hope we get this before xmas!
 
Awesome. Has long been my most wanted channels. Too much of a hassle to lug the DS to a store, especially when the damn demo stations around here aren't working half the time.

And makes it hard to try all the games since you can only grab one at a time.

Not only will you need friend codes for each demo, but you'll have to pay 100 Wii points for each FC. Plus, to make sure you don't get e-stalked, the friend codes expire after each use.

I don't think we will ever see that with the Wii. I know it would have saved me from purchasing at least two VC games so far, and we know Nintendo doesn't want that.

Allowing people to rate VC games they have downloaded in this channel could be helpful though.
 
Getting this and the VC gift feature out before Christmas could really help Nintendo bring in some extra cash (not that they need it). Hope they get a move on.

So hopefully next month we'll hear something about it... and get it.
