excite truck, monkey ball or rayman?

I'm in the same boat as you but I'm getting 2 of those 3. It depends on tastes. It seems like Excite Truck is a throwback arcade racer (which I do love), Monkey Ball seems to bring back the vibe of 1 and 2 which if you haven't played start out easy and end ridiculously hard but the multiplayer is a blast, Rayman seems like a mix of oddball Rayman humor and some crazy mini games.

I'd have to say either Rayman or Monkeyball as they probably will end up with the stronger of the multiplayer. I like Rayman a bit more so I'd probably pick that one.

Same here. Except for me it's Red Steel instead of ExciteTruck. That game is on my list of games to get cheap.

I think it depends on what game (between Monkey Ball & Rayman) deliver with 1player mode. Unless you're ALWAYS going to have someone else to play with, then either one really. But if you play games more alone, I say wait for more reviews and get the better 1 player mode game.

IGN gave Monkey Ball an 8.4 so that's decent. I'm waiting very patiently for Rayman Reviews.

I dont know, it depends if Red Steel is okey, there seems to be no other real great game to get, something to use some time on, there are only mini games, DS ports and half decent games, rolling monkeys and anime games aint up my valley.

I hope Farcry gets it right, but its strange its so little info on the game and its soon launch.

You should read the GameSpot Excite Truck review. It seems the game is really short and lacks depth, but is fun for a few hours.

I say you go with Monkey Ball, but I am a bit biased.

I'd personally go with Excite Truck. Regardless of lacking depth, as long as it's great at what it is (being a fun unique racer), I'll MAKE it fun for more than just the pre-determined time it takes to beat every course or whatever...I'm not the type to beat a game and say "Oh that's it, can't be fun anymore." Excite Truck seems like it'll offer some fun thrills over and over again...a low GameSpot score has never detered me in the past, and won't this time either.

I guess you can't go wrong with Super Monkey Ball either, it looks like a lot of fun.

I've never played Rayman, but my wife keeps telling me she wants Happy Feet. I've never heard anything about this Happy Feet game, but I thought I might be able to appease her with Rayman. Any thoughts?

Monkey Ball and Rayman will almost definitely be stronger multiplayer games, if that's what you're going for. I'm of the crowd that doesn't love racing games, but they're good for the occasional race (which is why I think Excite Truck will be a perfectly fine game for a lower price, regardless of depth).

I'm getting Zelda and something else on launch day. I already have Red Steel, Rayman, and Trauma Center (those being the games I was interested in that my local gamestop had in stock when I went in). I'm thinking Monkey Ball, but I do like my racers of the exceedingly unrealistic/cartoony variety so Excite Truck seems pretty decent.

Definitely not Excite Truck, I want to say Rayman but Monkey ball has gotten slightly better reviews. I'd say if you've played monkey ball, go rayman, if you haven't, go monkey ball.
