I was wondering if anyone here has modded their stereo system setup to install a HDD to stream tunes from. Basically I want to get a DVD setup for my car, see all Region, and have a switch between the drive and the DVD player controls as well so I can display the video output from the drive on the monitor that comes with the DVD player.
Has anyone done here done anything like this or could you recommend someone?

Hmmm is that DVD player all Region though? I mean I'm really disgusted going into electronics stores that offer the car one's and only offering Region 1. Other than that I'm interested if the HDD could manage to be hooked up to that unit. If so that would be like a dream.
The main reason I'm concerned about all this is the limit of material a DVD can access at one time, see "roulette" for video, as well as what that DVD player can even play. Besides all Region, there's DivX and other formats.
edit: Ahhh just saw your second post. Too bad the HDD is so small though. -_- Perhaps I could just rip it out and switch the connections.
