Stupid AI and no clear direction on the beach. Took me 10 tries to get through it because couldn't figure out pattern. Game doesn't really impress me like it should. Looks like a purchase when it hits the $20 platinum list.

Rare went down hill after Free Radical broke off.

On a related note, Zoonami updated their website this month with info on their projects.

IF they are willing to release a demo now on it, then it's gotta say something about the game. What it's basically done is make me second guess the purchase and wait.

Agreed. They wouldn't release a demo if the game was still in "shit-stage". How would that win over any fans?

EDIT: Wasn't impressed at E3, likely won't be impressed now.

"shit-stage" will never be over with Rare making it
I'm not going to disagree with that statement.
Once, a long time ago (well, maybe about 3 years ago), I sure as hell would have disagreed.

It's still hard to believe that a company like Rare fell to where they are today...

Well I have the original Conker and I love it. IF they can pull off an Xbox remake and put some Live, I'm there.
Well I played the demo and loved it....to each his own.
I think its going to be good, too. I plan to use some retail points to get it for cheap, so I figure, no loss there. A good game, or some profit. Either way, I win.
..you're judging a game that's not even finished?
Of course! How many times have we judged Half-Life 2, Doom 3, and Halo 2 before they were released? It's the way of the fanboy!

I agree with the OP 100 percent. The game just isnt what i thought it would be. Even with xbl theres no reason why i would pick it over something like Ratchet and Clank Up your aresenal.

If you don't like it, you should send the demo to me :)

The original Conker's BFD was one of my favorite games ever and I'd really appreciate it if I could get a demo of the XB version

I was playing Conker on 64 the other day, man that game hasnt aged well at all... its still fun but not a smuch fun as i remember. I think i still might rent it when it comes out on xbox.

I liked the demo. The opening part where you run up the beach is a bit confusing/frustrating/not a heck of a lot of fun. Kind of an odd way to start a demo IMO.

But once you pull out your gun and start piling up teddiez it's pretty fun. I got through 2 of the shooting stages and had to pause the game to grab some dinner. By the time I came back it went back to the menu (forgot that OXM demos did that - I had that happen to me once before.) But what I played was pretty fun. I'll pick this one up once it hits $10. I have three categories of games - The best = I'll pay more than $10, good = I'll pay $10, almost anything else = I'll pay $5 (I'm exageratting just slightly ;) )

Or maybe a demo is a fair early assessment of a game? Ever think of that one before jackassedly calling people fanboys?

A demo is meant to woo people - it can have the opposite effect as well, you realize.

i think the first game had a shit stage also. or maybe it was a shit monster. but there was certainly some kind of humor that had to do with poop.

I thought the demo was actually pretty good, altough I do agree that it is very strange to start the demo in such a difficult spot it in the game. It plays nearly identically to the n64 version (exception being dual analog control) and the graphics are amazing. I'm looking forward to it, but there's no way I'll pay more than $29.99 for it considering that I played through the entire game about 5 years ago... unless of course the online component is just incredibly f'n amazing.

conker's BFD was hard as hell, what did you expect? the control was so horrible, I died at least ten times every mission. like, you'd press a button and it would take a second or two to respond

I remember the controls being pretty crisp and I've played through Bad Fur Day many times.

I loved it too. It was kind of hard at first, but once you get the hang of it its pretty damn fun and really funny

When I started this post I should have stated that my expectations was to buy it at 49.99, however, the demo has brought me to wait till it hits 19.99 or less.

Its just a demo, not the full game. The full game is planned to include the original Bad Fur Day and the Live and Reloaded game with is made mostly for XBL not single player. I would expect it to release at $39.99 or so and should be worth it.

I really enjoyed Conker on the N64, but it was nothing I'd spend any money on for a remake several years later. I think only owning the N64 version will work for me.

I loved Conker's BFD for the single player, but HATED the multiplayer. So, needless to say, I won't be picking this one up.

I guess the AI isn't that dumb.

Either you're a retard or you have no idea what you're talking about. Pick one.

BTW I briefly played the demo, besides the wonky camera I can saftly say that it was awesome. Good job by Rare, can't wait for the full version.

It should be noted that the original Multiplayer modes have been stripped out and replaced it with a rather extensive upgrade (A few inside sources tote it as the next Halo 2).

Also this isn't a straight port, things will be changed, added and removed, much like RE for NGC.

I thought the demo was pretty good. A little short, but still good. I've never played a Conker game, so it was pretty new for me. I'll probably pick up the game when it's around $20 or so.

I agree. Developers like to be at a certain stage of completion that will be representative of the final product or else they wouldn't bother releasing a demo that would obviously turn off a lot of people.

I thought the demo was decent also....the graphics were pretty good and I love the cartoon/adult humor.

The controls were a little lackign for me though, the right analog stick did not feel as tight as some games.

I still may get this, since LIVE play should be decent.

The demo was worse then I thought it would be. That is bad considering I didn’t go into the demo with high expectations. I never played the original on the N64, but I have heard much about it. This game had very nice graphics, but that’s about it. Still, I think this will turn out to be a decent game.

Well the demo couldn't have sucked that much, since none of you guys have offered to send me the demo yet

what issue is this demo in? Is it the halo 2 one? do I have to do a specialcode to play it?
Also for those who have played the demo and have the original game, does it still play the same because it it does , then I'll get it.

Conker will be like Goldeneye. The first Goldeneye is one of the best games made then they made the sequal which was crap.
I feel this will be the same with Conker. First was really good, the sequal will be bad, unless they get their act together and do something to make it as good or better than bad fur day.

Thing is, it's not a sequel, it's a port of BFD, with a new online multiplayer component.

Wow, if Rare screws that up they should be shot.
