I can finally cross off F-Zero GX on my Games to Play list. I unlocked every racer, track, part, time attack ghost, and ending video and now I can die a happy man. I loved all the stuff you could unlock by pretty much playing any of the modes. This is the most time that I've put into any racer I've ever played COMBINED. Well worth the $25.00 that I paid back in late November when it went on sale and definitely worth the $15.00 dollars now. Now only 18 more games to finish...

Anyone else complete the Gamecube's best racer?
 
I'm playing it right now. Haven't unlocked very much yet, just a few racers so far. It is a great game though, I can see myself unlocking quite a bit of stuff before setting it down.
 
I just unlocked the AX cup last night. And I've gotten 4 AX racers unlocked. It's currently my favorite gamecube game...and I don't even like racers. It's the best $15 I spent in a long time.
 
I fell off the bandwagon for a while, but reading your post makes me want to come back to it. I've got to learn how to attack other cars better, or else I'm doomed to fail the Captain Falcon storyline over and over.
 
To get the AX Cup, I have to beat the Diamond Cup on the highest difficulty right? If so, then damn, because I can't beat it on the hardest setting. I can do all the other cups but the Diamond I always screw up on that last track that makes me feel I'm on drugs.
 
Yeah F-Zero GX is great. It just moves so damn fast, it is beautiful. The story mode was such a bitch, especially on the harder difficulties, but when you beat a mission, you feel like you have accomplished something.

I think it's X and Z? One makes your car jolt really fast to the side, the other makes it spin around like crazy.
 
If you beat any cup on the Master setting with any racer you get an entertaining video at the end. Nothing serious or epic, but good for a laugh.
 
Let me tell you guys, you haven't experienced F-Zero until you've played F-Zero AX. Its so smooth and so awesome. From the moment you strap yourrself in till the moment your seat locks in place you'll be in pure heaven. The abudance of love giving fun time is there to cherish and nothing is ever better. Me likey AX.
 
That game is frustratingly hard.....its more about memorization than skill, as you need to know exactly when to turn and boost on the harder difficulty levels.....IMHO F-Zero X for the n64 is better
 
Bought it but have yet to play more than a few tracks. By the sound of it, I don't think I will be capable of unlocking everything. I am just not that good at video games.
 
As much as I enjoy the game, the difficulty seems insane. The cups take patience at higher settings and I'm not doing that bad there. I've almost completed story mode on normal setting(taking a break for pile of new games) but just attempting hard made me feel insecure about my gaming ability :baby:
 
here have been so many deqals lately that I have jumped on that I havent actually played this that much, Ive gotten prolly close to if not more than 20 games in the past month, including the ps1 games I got at fye for free.
