In May in a chat I was only asking they make a note on my next trade in that the game does not have a manual because it is on disc and the stickers all over it was their fault from the mistaken grade the last time.. The guy told me because they messed it up just keep the game, the trade in credit, and not to worry because he would cancel the charge for the credit. So Id get the game and the credit. I told him I didnt want anything free I just wanted it made right. He insisted and told me it was for the trouble.

I just saw a few days ago they charged me the money for the credit advance credit anyway. SO, I went to amazon to point out the charge back wasnt canceled.

I was told "this is a business, we cant give stuff away". Well duh. I wanted to send my item back in the first place. She said the item was refuse d so they will never take it again.

It was a sly cooper I had just opened to get the Vita version for. Perfect and never played.

What the heck happened to Amazon? Never thought Id see the day BB would surpass them in CS.

I personally have always had pretty bad luck with Amazon. I never did get to experience that great CS they get praised for, even back in the day (it has gone down a bit from what I hear). The best I could/can hope for is mediocre..somewhat that doesn't really give a shit, but at least doesn't lie to me to get me off the chat.

With the outsourcing that companies do for their customer support, it really makes me wonder what these people are getting paid. Do they even have minimum wage laws in other countries? Because logic would tell you that with so many Americans still looking for work, just having a basic requirement of understanding the language would make any unemployed native English speaker a prime job candidate. But if you can outsource the job and pay someone $3 an hour, well, then this is what you end up with:

08:40 PM(GMT) Nate: How did they attempt to deliver it if there was a lack of business hours? Like I said, they definitely did not try to deliver it. I've been home all day, and there's no note on the door. I'm just confused what the point of today being listed as the "guaranteed delivery date" is if they're not even going to try to deliver it. Doesn't that make Amazon look bad?
08:42 PM(GMT) Fidel(CSA): I really understand your situation and if I am going to put my side on you I will definitely feel it too, no worries Nate, I will make sure to forward this to our shipping department so that they will look into this for you, I really appreciate all your feedback.

08:44 PM(GMT) Nate: Ok..I'm not sure I understand.
Seriously...sometimes, you might as well be talking to a bot.

Ultimately, you get what you pay for. If Amazon is happy that this is the level of service their customers are getting, then I guess it's worth it to them. Honestly, I think the main reason Amazon's customer support has gotten the praise that it has over the past several years is because they've usually been willing to take it on the chin and offer you some kind of compensation. But I've even been seeing this trend be cut back drastically.

In the past month alone, I've had a package miss its "guaranteed delivery date" (as shown above) and another one arrive defective, and all I've gotten out of them is basically a "Sorry!" and an "I'll send you a return label". I've been a Prime subscriber for 4 years and do 99% of my shopping on Amazon...but I feel like it could be progressing toward a point where it's not worth the trouble...especially once they start charging tax in all states (mine starts in 2014). I love Amazon. I just sense a turn coming for them. I'm hoping they'll see it coming as well and make the necessary changes to keep them ahead of the big B&M retailers (or even places like NewEgg and MicroCenter who offer lots of rebates and other shopping incentives). I definitely don't think Amazon is as far ahead of the pack as they used to be.

Yea, now that B&M stores like BBY and Target PM Amazon, I take my business to them when possible. I get better service, I can take a product back much easier and I am doing business with a vendor that is supplying jobs in my local area.

I've had to deal with Amazon CS on several occasions and never had a problem. The reps we're always nice and helpful.

So many people got screwed on that Sly Cooper trade in, it's crazy.  I got lucky I read in a thread somewhere on CAG someone recommended that I include a little note on the inside of the box saying that new versions of the game don't come with manuals.  I did that and traded it in and got the higher value and bonus credit + the Vita version.

Also, don't take the trade in credit ahead of time.  Just be patient and wait a week for it to be processed and for the credit to hit your account.  You've probably figured this out from this situation, but when you take the trade in credit you're setting yourself up to be screwed.  Just be patient and wait, that is what I do.
