Fallout 3 for PS3 $53 at Amazon

Way too expensive for the definitive worst version of the game.

PC version is $46.99, w/ the comparisons I've seen, the XBOX version is a distant 2nd and the PS3 version is flat out insulting in it's low quality.

The recent DLC and toolset announcement further pushes the PS3 version to "why bother" status. And it's a damn shame. I'd much rather have this on my PS3 than PC, but Bethesda basically crapped all over the PS3 version and is essentially saying its only for people who do not have a XBOX or PC...

I've read that there is some barely noticeable differences in the graphics on the PS3 version. Mine looks fine, anyway.

The DLC is another issue; I'm betting they make a disk available sometime for PS3 (similar to Shivering Isles).

I own both the 360 and the PS3 version of Fallout 3 and there is a negligible difference between the two. The PC version is worth it for the tool kit that's coming out next month, but honestly, having put in hours and hours into both versions, there is nothing wrong with the PS3 version. If you have a PS3, buy this game ... if you have a 360, buy this game.

360 wins for the upcoming downloadable content in January through March, but PS3 wins if your 360 RRODs from playing this game too much ;-)

Not to rain on this parade, but I've seen some shots where the PS3 is actually looking slightly better, but anyway who cares who gets what version. Isn't the important thing here the deal? I traded my Fallout3 for COD:WW and now I'm itching to get Fallout back. Will wait for a good deal though. Any word on the trophy patch for the PS3 version?

The PS3 version does not even come close to the PC version. The PS3 version looks like the PC version on the LOWEST POSSIBLE SETTINGS, draw distance, LOD, water effects etc...

don't kid yourselves, the PS3 version is not slightly worse looking, it is a vastly inferior product. We are not talking about a few jaggies or a bad texture here and there, we are talking about horrendous draw distance, bad lighting, dumbed down water effects, the list goes on and on.

And yet, magically, I'm still able to play and enjoy it ... bottom line ... if you only have a PS3 and want to play Fallout 3, it's still worth it

Of course, *IF* that is your only option. But if you have a PC w/ at least a geforce 7800 FO3 will look far better on the PC. The PS3 port is insulting, and the PS3 is my primary gaming device. I was stoked when it got oblivion and a nice looking version w/ the expansions, why FO3 is not even getting DLC just makes me sad.
