This one might be simpler

Bethesda sent word today of the digital pre-order bonuses for Fallout New Vegas. Each pack includes a unique set of armor and a few items, particular to which retailer you order from. The "Classic Pack" (above) is available for GameStop pre-orders, and includes an armored Vault 13 suit, Vault 13 canteen, weathered 10mm pistol, and five Stimpaks. Pictured below are (from top to bottom) the Tribal Pack, Caravan Pack, and Mercenary Pack.

The Tribal Pack (for Amazon pre-orders) includes the Tribal Raiding Armor, a broad machete, five doses of Bleak Venom, and 10 throwing spears. Caravan Pack (Steam and Wal-Mart) nets you the Lightweight Leather Armor, sturdy caravan shotgun, four repair kits, and binoculars. Finally, the Mercenary Pack (Best Buy) includes Lightweight Metal Armor, a mercenary grenade rifle, three Super Stimpaks, and three Doctors Bags.

Picking which pack you want may seem hard, but more than likely some similar (or better) armor to each will be available during the course of the game. Still, a bonus is a bonus, and getting the chance to boost your wasteland dweller a bit from the beginning can pay off -- especially given that we've heard New Vegas can be a bit more brutal than the wastelands of D.C.

I hate this bullshit. Why can't they just release the game without forcing you to choose which "bonus" you get. I know it's a very small amount of content that you'll actually be missing out on, but it really bothers me in the same way that we're now being nickel-and-dimed for every little piece of DLC. Remember the days when companies used to release a good package and it was the same everywhere, and then in a year or two they would release a fully-featured expansion pack for slightly less than the cost of a new game? Those were the good old days.

The collector's edition(or whatever it's being called) comes with physical stuff. If I remember correctly, a deck of cards, a poker chip, a book, and I think, a sound track.
Honestly nothing I'd spend the extra cash needed for the ce version, especially given the track record obsidian has with gaming quality (even if they are working with bethesda's um, toolkit).
