Family Guy Live - Los Angeles/NY

popps

CAGiversary!
i've seen many family guy fans on this board. just wondering if any of you are gonna go see the FG live show this friday @ the wiltern here in LA. doing a "live" FG show does sound a little weird, but i hear you also get to meet the cast as well as participate in a Q&A session.

i know i'm not a huge FG fan like some people here but, this seems like a once in a lifetime event. i tried winning tickets on KROQ (LA radio station) this morning but as luck would have it, i didn't even get through and i'm too cheap to fork out $60-$120+ for tickets.

if anyone has seen or heard anything else about this show (i think they had the NY one already), in your opinion, is it worth it?

I'm not going, and I'm a big FG fan. It's just that I'm a fan of the show, not the people that do the voice's, and what-not. For that money I would just go spend the day at Disneyland or something.
I can't imagine people acting out family guy.... it just doesn't seem like it would be funny to me...
I don't think they're acting it out, they're just doing table reads.

"Is this episode going on the air live?"

"No, Homer. Very few cartoons are broadcast live, it's a terrible strain on the animators' wrists."

I'm guessing this is live action ... with actors?

Wow! I live in Murrieta which isn't too far from LA, but for that price, I'm staying home and watching it on its' premeire in May.

yeah its just the actors who do the voices sitting on stools reading the scripts, its not like blues clues live, but its too expensive for my cheapass

I got two tickets. They're crappy up on the upper level, which stinks but at least I'm going. I'll let you guys know how it is.

Wow, I didn't hear about this. What a rip-off. A table read should be some sort of fan event, not some price-gouging spectacle. I wonder who's idea this was, because it seems way out of character for a guy like Seth Green.

You mean Seth Macfarlene. Seth Green voices Chris. Seth M. is the creator.

Gor back from the NY show. Wow, is all I can say. It blew my mind with awesomeness. I'll post full impressions in the morning
