Sorry if this is a bit rough, but it's my first deal I've ever tried to post.
Family Video has Marvel vs Capcom 3 on their website for sale, new, for $53.99.
http://www.familyvideo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=348873
Their shipping is $1.99, so $56 total.

However, Groupon has a familyvideo.com coupon right now, $20 for $10.
http://www.groupon.com/deals/familyvideo-com?c=dnb&p=5
So with the $10 you spend to get the coupon, you could get $20 off of the game, making it $36.
$46 total.

At least, that is what I am thinking in my head.
Thanks to Strongbad2143 for the heads up on the Groupon in the FV thread.
I'm getting my CE from Kmart tomorrow morn, but I figured this is another option for people wanting it less than MSRP.

EDIT: The Groupon doesn't have to be used on MvC3 I suppose. It is a one-time use code though and cannot be combined with other coupons.
The only problem with this is familyvideo.com's notoriuosly slow shipping.
Yeah, it's definitely not release-date shipping.
EDIT: However, when I got Castlevania LOS from them, it took maybe a week? It's not too bad, if you want the game and don't mind waiting a week or so. It is supposed to ship on the 15th.

it usually takes about a week for me, thats not bad at all

blood stone sounds good for $10

Shoot they had Shattered Dimensions for 20.00 but it looks like they've been wiped out of that and Castlevania. :) Still, good to have around.

Nice find, OP. I'm sure CAGs who are less interested in getting this game ASAP would be willing to wait a week and save ~$15. Any word on if you can get two of the coupons with two different CCs/orders and save another $10?

Why limit the thread title to MVC3? $10 off anything is really good. You Don't Know Jack for $20.99 shipped sounds good.

Also: coupon is valid until June 15, so that gives us plenty of time to wait for things to drop or come back in stock. I was hoping they'd have a used DJ Hero 2 game-only for $20 by now.

I guess if a mod wants to change it. I didn't really think of anything else. I saw the groupon thing in the Family Video thread and went looking for Spiderman Shattered Dimensions. Like someone already mentioned, they must be sold out, because used copies aren't listed for $19.99 anymore.
I did see MvC3 listed a sale price lower than MSRP though and I know people have been clamoring for it and with the coupon it's a good deal, so figured I'd post it. I don't really know what the rest of their new selection looks like for prices though.
Any word on if you can get two of the coupons with two different CCs/orders and save another $10?
I don't know. Last time I looked at SD, they were asking the same question and there was no answer, but that was hours ago.
EDIT: According to SD, once per purchase and cannot be combined with any other coupons or anything.

Well I just got Crackdown 2 and Wolverine Uncaged Edition for $21 shipped (that includes groupon cost). It should be noted that if you live in a state where taxes are charged the GC does not apply. They also charge $1.99 for shipping even if your total is less than $20. I tried to just get Crackdown 2 ($17.99) but they would not take tax or shipping out of my remaining $2 so I decided to get another game. The best deal is either 2 $9.99 games or 1 $19.99 game but I either had or played all the ones on their list. I guess I could of waited but I will most likely forget :). Either way I got both games for much cheaper than anywhere else (about $10 cheaper than Gamestop after discounts). Nice find OP.

groupon said the coupon cant be used till 1 day after purchase. i already received my coupon, can i use it right now or do i have to wait.

edit: coupon seems to work right after

edit2: bought for $35.98 + $10. so $46 for MvC3 is ok.

Almost forgot: Thanks, OP!

Thanks cancer for confirming my only fear invalid: that FV would require a $20 minimum purchase in order to use the coupon (similar to Walgreens DingleCash coupons). I'm glad I won't have to find worthless penny filler for a $19.99 game. I can't exactly grab a bag of Haribo Gold Bears at checkout with this one.
Will they ship out of state, as it's a CA Groupon?
I live in WI and I had no issues with using the Groupon and them shipping it to me. (So far I guess)

Thanks bud, I'll give it a go.

These are also some minor things people might want to be aware of. Tax is charged on the precoupon amount AND it appears they charge tax on the shipping (All of which is not covered by the coupon). I would assume if there is no Family video in your state there is no tax (Lucky bastards:))

Sub-Total: $53.99
$1.99 Shipping (5-10 business days; USPS): $1.99
Sales Tax: $4.45
Coupon Discount: $20.00
Total: $40.43

Still cheaper than Amazon even with the $10 game credit they offer.

I know the shipping is kinda slow, but not worried about it. I have plenty of games to play until it arrives :)
You can go back and buy another one, but it says it has to be given out like as a gift.
I tried that, it denied the sale saying I have to have a quantity of 1 -- and it won't let me change it, even though it says QTY: 1

hmmm. Thats weird. It states the following though:

The fine print says "Limit 1 per person" and "May buy multiples as gifts." Can I buy myself some Groupons as gifts to myself and use more than one?

No. If the fine print says this, you can only redeem one. If you buy more than one then you have to give them away as gifts to other people.

I just tried and it told me the same as you. My guess would be to use another credit card if you have one. Or maybe a visa giftcard.
hmmm again interesting option... $46 is not bad... idc about getting it to play on release day... as long as i get to play... :p
Maybe you can wait til $9.99 during black friday sale? Just saying since you don't care when to play it. ;) I will wait til $10-15 before buying whenever that is. I'm in no rush of playing 2D fighters cause I suck at them. lol

I'd love to get in on this deal, if only groupon wasn't taking over an hour to process my groupon purchase. I just want my one stinking coupon code... is it that difficult? I hate this company more and more daily. In a day and age of INSTANT ELECTRONIC EVERYTHING, how come it takes so long for an instant code to be instantly charged through instant funds and instantly approved? "Sorry its taking so long! It'll be a few hours for us to instantly verifiy the instant information in an instant age. Please hold tight!". >:p

Refer a friend on Groupon appears to be broken. Real surprise there.

Either way, asked a friend if he'd register and get me one, and he did. Just waiting on the extremely long processing time now.

Hmm. I don't think the game will plummet 45-50 bucks in price in less than a year of release. A sealed MvC2 voucher goes for $100 on ebay lol. The empty case goes for 15.
Wait a second, am I not understanding, or you have to pay for a coupon? lol
I look at it as paying $10 for $20 credit...

Yeah, I agree. Although I'm STILL waiting for my groupon order to process (at this rate it won't before the deal dies, what a stinking load).

Actually, yeah it feels a bit like buying a coupon... oh well. $10 is $10.

Sucks it's taking so long for you to get your code. I got mine within 20 minutes. But at that time, only like 123 deals were sold. When I looked a couple hours ago, it was like nearly 600 I think. I'm sure thats what is taking so long.

Got the Groupon and almost jumped on this, but after tax and S&H, NewEgg's price is less than a dollar more (after promotion code), but includes not having to deal with Family Video's slow-ass shipping.

Really? I though MvC2 is a digital download game so can't you pay the standard price from Live or PSN? Or are you refering to the Dreamcast version or something?

No, there was a time when they were selling the digital download voucher inside a sealed case (lol)
